So yeah basically Disney is making a game with characters from toy story, monsters inc, the incredibles and so on to me it looks like a good game so far you can play in different worlds plays as your favorite movie what else can you ask for? your thoughts?

The game looks decent, but something's missing from the confirmed cast. Where are the classic Disney characters like Aladdin and Pinnochio? It feels like this game is exclusive only to and Disney characters from the 2000's to today, plus the Nightmare Before Christmas, and Pixar.

it looks like a good game, but i don't understand how disney infinity can come out with being so similar to the skylanders concept. i wonder if disney gave some money to the skylander company to come out with this game. other than that thought, i kinda wanna get the game, but i want more characters to come out.

It's a bold project, definitely, but it's not going to be as good as other games coming out this year. This year is a bad year for competition in the video game business, Nintendo's pretty much got it in the bag.

The game looks interesting for sure, but to me it feels more like "Pixar Infinity" Yes, I know there are characters from non-Pixar movies there, but it seems they're mostly going for that sort of crowd. That's not a bad thing if they're trying to attract a younger audience than I would have wished (which they are), but this just doesn't feel like a Disney experience to me. I'll admit I'm biased toward things from my childhood, but when I think of Disney, I think of magic, fables and fairy tales brought to life on the big screen, and of course Mickey Mouse, who I don't even think is in this game. That's probably what bugs me the most- how can you have a Disney crossover game without Mickey? He doesn't need to have a major role, but it would be nice to see him in some form.

I think this will be good cause they won't spit on spyro or in this case some of their best IPs and ruin them for some over priced yet easy cash

    Disney Infinity

Well Disney Infinity dropped today. Those who don't know what this game is it's a Disney version of Skylanders. For those who don't know what skylanders is google it. For those who can't google Skylanders is a game where you plug a usb-portal like thing and you put figures/toys on it and the toy will come to life in the game. I'm not the best ex plainer which is why I said google. Anyways did anyone pick Disney Infinity up today, of course I did.

well at my work we had the launch so i got to see everything a couple weeks ago. i didn't pick it up, even though i almost did today. i just think it's a copy off of skylanders plus the added bonus of the power discs. also, you to have specific characters to do levels unlike skylanders. (even though you have to have certain types to get the bonus hats, but that's not a big deal.) maybe i'll pick up the game when it becomes cheaper:P for now, i'll take my skylanders.

I was really, really, really contemplating on buying Disney Infinity the other day. The game is definitely something refreshing from the games that Disney usually makes. From having looked at a few reviews online, my favorite part of the game probably has to be the Toy Box feature, and how it lets your creativity flourish by allowing you to build your own worlds. It makes me feel like I'm playing a Disney version of Minecraft. The Play Set option looks fun, too. I like how you can create different combinations with the characters and weapons.

The only setback? The price, much like with that of Skylanders. I was looking on the GameStop website, and the game with the starter pack will run you $74.99, and each individual figure after that will cost you about $14.00 (all in USD). I don't have that kind of money, and that's honestly what's discouraging me from buying the game now. I want to be able to complete all the missions and enjoy the game to its fullest, but I feel like I can't without spending loads of money. :x

My sister and I love Disney Infinity. It's like playing Minecraft in the world of Skylanders, with characters from Disney and Pixar. I bought the starter pack for Wii U, which costed me $74.99 ($82, after you add tax). It's a bit expensive, but it's definitely worth it. So far, the only action figures I have are Captain Jack Sparrow, Sulley, and Mr. Incredible. They all came with the bundle. I'll buy myself some additional figures when I get the chance~

Is this game any good? I see that it is getting a lot of promotion atm?

I don't like or play games that force you to buy toys to play all the parts of the game that aren't DLC. Why should I pay more money for toys that probably range between 15 to 20 dollars for features that are already on the darn disc?

    Also,

There's already a thread for this game: https://www.pokecommunity.com/threads/305354

My thoughts on the game is still the same like last time.

You mean the thread your on? Check the link, champ.
