He's used loads of new moves and abilities recently, most notably the chakra transfer thing where he gave a powerup to everyone on the battlefield and of course what I presume is ''Ninshu''. He's also done a couple of different one of rasengans with the other tail beast chakra, a lava one iirc.

Did someone say something about a tailed beast wind rasengan?

Spoiler:

Legit, yo.

Ah, thanks for clarifying. All of my most recent knowledge comes from Ninja Storm 3, which basically went from the truth behind the Nine-Tails incident to a non-canon ending to the battle between the Kage and Madara, as well as Naruto and Obitobi. Not really sure how those battles actually conclude, though.

Also featured the battle between Itachi, Sausage, and Kabuto. Not really sure where that fits in, since it was an extra chapter in the game, but I heard that it's canon.

Yeah, that happened in the manga in mid 2012 iirc. It was probably the biggest part of the war that isn't the final, final final (or even final final final) boss. I say final final final because she might get involved after Madara is kill.

I've noticed. I was just a bit surprised, but all things considered, it makes sense that they'd feature Kaguya (Or...her daughter, rather) more than anyone considering Madara's plot.

That is one thing I like about the series, especially recently. Seeing characters like Son Goku from the Saiyuki story and Suusano-o and his father Izanagi (and maybe Izanami, though I'm not sure if she's in it) from Japan's creation story is pretty interesting, and I love things that integrate mythologies and the like into their universes.

I wish he was a bit more creative with it though. I suppose the fact that the woman tried to do something and failed shows he has some consistency in the universe mind.

Yeah, I've noticed more than once where some mythological figure is in the series but they don't serve any similar function. Son Goku is a good example of this...though I guess that's a special case, since his host was named Roshi, but the point stands that his base was of the character from Journey to the West and...well, he didn't have any similar function or personality, he could have been named anything else and served the same purpose and nothing would be lost.

Same with Izanagi and Izanami. Other than Izanagi being a lightning entity (something about Izanagi's name being related to Inazuma (lightning)), there's nothing that really ties them together. Izanami too, to the point where, with her, it was just a name drop for a completely unrelated technique.
