Actually, there can be ends in something that stretches on forever. Have you ever thought about holes? Or maybe it stretches infinitely in a different direction but not at the end you're at.

Well there we're talking possibilities, not definites. You might find ends, but that's assuming the universe doesn't expand indefinitely in all directions, which, should the big bang theory be true, the universe would. But, on a multiverse level, it's a definite possibility.
