Well, if you were named Bob Dole, people might watch you for the novelty of watching a guy named Bob Dole do non-Bob Dole related things.

If you're name was Jesse Cox, I would assume that many people would tune in, only to be disappointed and leave.

If your name is Kirigaya Kazuto and you happen to be white, you'll be known as "That Weeaboo Channel". Which might actually net you some views.

Every Saturday night, we all get together and talk really cynically about SAO. So we hate the show but still sort of love it. It's a recurring theme.

...Even if it might ruin you mentally. Actually, if you die an early death, it's most likely our fault.


Also, pff, this thread, having any kind of quality standard?





For the record, I'm a-OK with the slow pace they've got going right now. It's refreshing.
Heck, if this wasn't SAO I'd think it was quirky and interesting.

The real problem is that you get too defensive and try to run to its aid. You need to just not worry about what people think about it, because clearly Reki doesn't. He just writes because he likes it, and you should do the same for watching. Just relax and enjoy it. And stop going into SAO threads.

...I guess there would be, it'd make a lot of sense.


Must suck to have really liked the books only to see a huge negative backlash when the adaptation comes, though.

Meh, I already had my lurker phase in pre -2007. Its boring watching a show and not even talking about it with people who also watched it.

I remember watching stuff like Cardcaptor Sakura or Yakitate Japan and not being able to talk about it with anyone...that's even worse, apathy is worse than hate imo.

The ending was probably my favorite part (and hey, I didn't even see it. Just read up on it). Basically voided the series happening, and Gasai Yuno got a more likable character.

Most of the show I didn't like because the mains (Yuki and Yuno) got their way, despite not deserving it and there being nothing to balance it out. That and I hate Yuki and every single decision he makes. With a passion. Gasai, too, but not nearly as much as Yuki. He sits at the top of my "most hated anime character" list. And I don't hate too many things.

YakiJ was great. Love the comedy. Too bad the series ended when I picked it up so the community was dead. Sucks getting into something and finding the community gone lol.

Well 4chan is the one place I significantly avoid. The mindless cynicism kills brain cells.
