Technically a better deal than buying DVDs, if you watch enough. And you don't have to pay extra for BR in order to go above 420p. As long as you manage to avoid the comment sections and the forum it doesn't seem that bad.

Still, I'm of the stern belief that what we need is a Steam for anime. With centralised downloads, holiday sales and all.

They could hook me with something like that if they subbed a bunch of untouched oldies and made it impossible to rip subs. Not to mention money actually going to anime studios would be nice. Never going to happen.

Access to the anime library of US Crunchyroll runs me about $7 a month. Slightly cheaper than streaming only for Netflix here. Except Crunchyroll keeps series for a fair bit longer than Netflix, even the low-rated obscure ones.

I decided to take a look at our entire lineup, all of the obvious ones are there but a few caught me off guard. Kite Liberator, I'm pretty sure this was the sequel to a hentai about a pedo cop that used his schoolgirl to kill other pedos. I could be wrong though as it has been years.

Terrible end to a pretty great Homeland season. This is why I should stick to anime.

Hm, found another Mewtwo fanfic where the author uses the Japanese names for some characters

Amber Fuji becomes Aiko, Giovanni becomes Sakaki

Most Pokémon keep their English names though

Amber doesn't die and becomes Mewtwo's mate, shenanigans follow

While not as deep as Angelic Shadows, The Mewtwo File is still a good story

Because that is totally not something /a/ concocted to show how it feels about parts of itself and non-/a/ frequenting anime fans. Actually, thinking on it, that's how other 4 Chan boards probably feel about /a/.

If you don't know or can't piece it together from the words involved, you're better off than those of us who can piece it together from the words involved and would be better served staying in the dark.

That is appalling. I'm pretty sure the US one is at least twice that (without bothering to look it up), and even the US library still feels like mostly a MY FIRST ANIME selection with some "super mature" harems thrown in.

Hey now, Best Wishes was a perfectly acceptable Pokemon season, and would have actually had a shot at being really good for Pokemon if they didn't have to rewrite the whole thing halfway through because of the release of B2 & W2.
