This herbivore concept goes far deeper than muh NEETs, whilst there is obviously some overlap I find it hard to believe that ''most'' NEETs would even fit the category. Unless being unable to attract a partner dude to lack of a stable income makes them herbivore, I don't think this is the case though.

The main thing these men are doing is not following social norms of the past. The culture of working like dogs only to give the majority of the wages to the wife, she then raises the kids and you are a good dad for making this possible. Hell, one of the main stereotypes of this is the men are often metrosexual and savvy when it comes to money, certainly not something you would associate with otaku NEETs.
