TVTropes pretty much explains what the series is about without spoilers. Way better in describing than whatever crap I come up with.

I've pretty much switched to linking the TVTropes page when I link stuff to people.

But yeah, the character development is pretty well done. The protagonist is pretty humble to a fault, which I typically prefer for an MC. Has the fantasy with reincarnation elements that I've gotten into recently. I could do without the harem, but the market as it is...oh well.

Well, considering the target audience its not a surprise. I've looked into the Western versions and you just have Joe Average WASP being dropped in and doing a slightly better track in life and eventually landing the Presidency, or a transported one with mundane development. Its not so bad but the Weeb ones have a somewhat better basis for genre savvyness.

Speaking of fantasy, just watched the final Hobbit movie in theatre. Not so bad, but the length is off putting to some I guess. Though personally I'd rather have a story properly portrayed than having it suffer adaptation decay.

835. You miss out on some fun rides auto-dropping all Gary Stu the Otaku insert stories, though. No Game No Life was a pretty fun ride in spite of that element. Though it leaned far too heavily on the fanservice crutch. I thought the 50 million panty shots and boob bounces were extremely excessive. I may be greatly exaggerating on the actual quantity, though.

Conceptually the show was pretty neat. Switch the target demographic from casuals and basement dwellers to mature folk with good taste like myself and you would get something decent. I'll just stick to my Nobuyuki Fukumoto manga.

Super interesting is great and all but only when the art style is appealing.

Also, on the topic of SUPER INTERESTING. I see TLRD got another season.
