I don't completely blame them. It was the first time Europe got to dub a game in a long time, so it was shoddy in general. They just copypastad the song from the game to the anime (despite the game and anime originally having different themes.
Name changes aren't much better. Names like Mark Evans and Kevin Dragonfly don't fit in a game about Japanese children, but it's made more awkward in the third game where they compete for what is essentially the world cup...representing Japan. Oops.
EDIT: I'd have to buy the separate volumes quite expensively and they don't even have the first one in stock. Guess I'll find something else to read. D:
Fairy Tail has basically become one of the big three by now, if one ignores the "three" part.
Wouldn't throw KlK in there since it's anime-only and was of normal length.
AoT on the other hand, yeah. Give it a few years and it'll probably have officially taken Bleach's place as one of the de facto big 3.
Heck, I'd be okay with that, the fans are annoying but it's a fun show to watch.
I'm just being hopeful. If it did, the ecchi would explode.
Speaking of AoT, I really hope it doesn't go on for too long. I'm just following the manga (by volumes I find at local libraries/bookstores rather than online) and it's pretty interesting. And it's because it's interesting that I don't want to see it stretched into an inevitable cliche where all of the intrigue is just...gone.
And since I skipped out on the show because anime Eren, I'll give the comp movie a watch, since it's assured no filler and great quality.
