My heart cannot take all these "feels."

Also almost done with the Bravely Default prequel. Fairly standard storyline.
That was mostly the point, since it was supposed to be a callback to Final Fantasy I.

Though I'm not sure it's canonically related to Bravely Default, given that it's a Spiritual Prequel.

I don't really have obsessive-compulsive disorder, to be fair.

Though nowadays saying you have OCD is pretty much just synonymous with saying you like everything to be neat and notice pattern mistakes easily, and that I'm definitely guilty of.

As for Netto's RPG, it appears to have similar monster design, so it might take place in the same universe or one much like it.
I guess the Bravely Default multiverse makes pretty much anything possible.

Self-diagnosis of things like OCD needs to stop. Insomnia too.

Titanic was pretty huge worldwide, things like that will always get referenced. Of course the odd studio like Trigger will push the western references even further because they are going after that market. I seem to remember references ranging from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Pulp Fiction to Little Black Sambo in Kill la Kill.

I want to draw a story set in a war-torn 16-17th century fantasy world.

After learning a lot about one of the worst and longest religious wars in history off an alt history book I do want to see this.

Even today I'm still surprised at how complex and somewhat culturally modern society back then was.

269

Myself I don't know that much about the societal structures and wars of that age (aside from what went on in my own country, but we were fairly behind), so I'd love to know more. I just picked the era for design reasons, to be perfectly honest. :P

Like, the firearms were gorgeous. And melee weapons were still viable in combat, so it makes for all kinds of fantasy fun.

Going to bed, though. Night all.

Maybe, but it I doubt it was too big in Japan- or at least, not as big as it was in Western areas (and that song and it's utilization specifically made that scene pretty gold). Or, rather, it was how it was used that made it funny, especially since you don't see it referenced too often in even older Japanese media.

Night Pokattack.

Oh, there definitely is; Japan's a very Westernized nation. I just didn't expect a reference like that in 2014 (well, 2013). Though it was more its usage and execution that struck me than the source.

But yeah, overall, Mitsudomoe was pretty fun. Wish I hadn't marathoned it, though <_<

Certainly a more interesting reference than the obvious bow one.

Yup, Mitsudomoe was very enjoyable. First series was airing just as I started watching new shows every season.
