It would take even longer if I hadn't found a transparent .png of the characters, since I'd have to cut them out of the background, although I'd only have to do it once and save it as a png

I need to do that for the text boxes and the arrow

Each panel has about ten layers

2-3 for character poses, one for the glowing eyes, two for the text boxes, one for the text itself, two for the arrows...background and extra effects...

And then I have to do that 4-8 times, and THEN organize it into a proper layout...it would be even more challenging if I used the battle sprites, since those can have maybe ten sprites just for STANDING

All of the crew achieve their dreams. Luffy does a Gol D Roger style speech which sets forward a new pirate era in a world free of political corruption. One Piece will be Luffy's hat. I also think there is quite a high chance that Luffy will die.

Of course none of the main characters have died yet, we still have the best part of a decade left with this series. Deaths in One Piece only happen when plot needs it or in flashbacks, I'm perfectly fine with that.

There have certainly been hints at it happening though, he said himself that using gear second techniques will shorten his lifespan. Then there was Emporio's treatment during Impel Down which took a decade off. It also seems as if most of the D characters burn out faster, there are of course exceptions but I'd believe it.

Doubt we'll get any kids from the crew and if we do I doubt it will be internal. The only couple I could actually see happening is Usopp and Kaya.

On the topic of shounen deaths, this Naruto chuunin exam filler added another dead waifu to the mix. First it was Fu and then the animal summon path of Pain.

The best deaths are the meaningful deaths. The ones that aren't meaningful are just saying 'hey this character never really mattered' which can be really offensive depending on what character it is.
