It doesn't really matter to me except for the fact I can't claim my bishies until I reach 100 posts. After I pass that point and claim, I really won't care at all. It's just a number, after all! ^_^

It does matter to many people. And yeah, maybe it does matter for me too. It's just that i wanna reach 5,000 so i can post blog enties.:P:P
 
I just joined about two weeks ago, but my post count doesn't matter to me any. I've been posting in the OT section quite often, so I have more than it appears. I don't even care that they don't get counted. I just come here to have fun and post wherever I feel I am able to (even if my posts do tend to be short).

Yes. In my opinion, it shows your loyalty and trust towards the forum plus how many times you've actually answered the question.

Really, those reputation points count so somebody can see that you contribute towards the community.
