Do the games get boring after a while?

I rushed out and got Platinum, but found myself bored after maybe a month, but for some reason, I have fallen back into it since about Thanksgiving-ish. I'm striving to finally beat it, and complete my pokedex before HG/SS comes out
 
No, I never get bored!

So nostalgic!
 
I'm always bored with any games after I beat Champion. Basically nothing to do besides doing side-quest, breedings, raising up to lv. 100 and blah..
 
I get bored once I beat the Elite 4 and then rarely pick it up again. I've long since quit trying to be a pokemon master, so now I just try to raise the pokemon I like every once in a while and rebeat the Elite 4 just for the heck of it.
 
Yeah, they do. Currently, I'll fire up Platinum just to have a go-around with the Elite Four or the Battleground trainers. I've given up on the Battle Frontier and am too lazy to breed right now. Not much else to do, really :/
 
yeh i get bored easily, especially when u have to train the pokemons and then when you beat all the people theres nothing to do D:
 
Once you go through something more than once or play it for a long time, a series or game in general (Pokemon or anything else) will eventually get boring. All Pokemon games will get boring wether you've played through once, twice, one hundred times, etc.

I picked up Platinum like 2 weeks ago and a DS and I'm on it everyday when I can be and I find the excitement after taking a relatively long break because I didn't buy a DS when the new versions and 4th gen. games came out. I've already even restarted my file midway because I didn't like my team or how I approached by raising them so I started over after beating Wake and now I'm at Wake again with a 4-Poke team that I love so far :)

I'm sure by when March roles around I could possibly be tired of it but it all depends on how you approach Pokemon and how you play through each time, the team you use, what you're playing for (training, shinies, beat game, etc.) and any other reason.

I love the series, you just have to find your own methods to stay occupied. FYI, Wi-Fi or online play for any system or game is SO MUCH MORE FUN!
 
Yes I do get bored of the game. The only way to keep me playing the game is by finding other people to trade Pokemon with and finding other people to battle with. It makes the game more fun and makes you feel like you are a Pokemon trainer / master.
