Do you feel more inclined to reply to private messages or visitor messages first?

1. If it came to the crunch, and PC had to remove either private messages or visitor messages, which would you prefer to keep? (This is hypothetical, I'm not saying that it's ever possibly going to occur)
VMs, we get to meddle with the options on who to see them, right?

2. Do you reply to visitor messages faster than private messages?
No, PM first.

3. Do you think PC needed visitor messages in the first place?
Yes, I'm lonely.

One. Personal Messages
Two. Personal Messages
Three. I've never used Visitor Messages, so I don't think they are really needed, as far as I know, they take just as long to create as a Personal Message, but everyone can see what you're saying, whereas Personal Messages are Private.

Keep visitor messages, honestly. I can see the whole conversation since the first message, unlike PMs. If someone has something personal or important to discuss, then I would prefer to use MSN. o.o

2. Do you reply to visitor messages faster than private messages?
UHH depends on my mood. I still have 28 unanswered VMs... ^__^; I am horrible at responding to both on some instances. However, to redeem myself, I visit my User CP, which shows both PM and VM topics, so I do respond quickly if I see an urgent message.

3. Do you think PC needed visitor messages in the first place?
Yep; I am too lazy to clean my PM storage sometimes. :(

Visitor messages for the sole reason that they are limited for most members, while Visitor messages are unlimited. Besides, Visitor messages are essentially private unless you get some weirdo going between profiles o.o
2. Do you reply to visitor messages faster than private messages?
Private messages, because they have a more urgent feel to them than Visitor messages.
3. Do you think PC needed visitor messages in the first place?
It isn't necessary but it is a very nice addition.

1. PMs. Sometimes you just don't want everyone else to know about something.
2. PMs. Because I like them better.
3. Lemme look at the cost

1. If it came to the crunch, and PC had to remove either private messages or visitor messages, which would you prefer to keep?
PMs.
VMs, I can live without. People tend to put more thought into a PM anyways in my experience.

2. Do you reply to visitor messages faster than private messages?
No, I see PMs first, because I check my email every time I get online and those have email alerts, which are set to stand out in my inbox. (I use GMail)

3. Do you think PC needed visitor messages in the first place?
No, we didn't need them, but they are a nice thing to have. For day to day communication, they're a lot better because there's no limit to how many one can send/receive and they are generally useful for leaving low priority messages and notes for not only the recipient but to anyone else who cares to visit the profile.
By reading the VMs that a person gets, you can sort of see if they're a person you'd get along with or not, and can establish things like, "Are they an honest trader on Wifi?" or other similar questions of trading/battling reputation.

I would say PMs. Why? Because some people just have private things to talk about, and PMs are the best way to handle it
2. Do you reply to visitor messages faster than private messages?
I haven't had a single PM to date, so I can't really answer this question fairly.
3. Do you think PC needed visitor messages in the first place?
It isn't a necessity, but it is nice. It does tend to be faster than private messaging from other forum experiences. Plus, they aren't as annoying when you just want to drop a quick little messages on some ones profile.

Definitely VMs. PMs are useful for me, but I'm more keen on using and responding to VMs.

2. Do you reply to visitor messages faster than private messages?
Yes, I do.

3. Do you think PC needed visitor messages in the first place?
It probably isn't a necessity, but I love the VM feature, so sure.

Private messages.

2. Do you reply to visitor messages faster than private messages?
I reply equally quickly to both visitor and private messages on the few occasions that I bother replying to them.

3. Do you think PC needed visitor messages in the first place?
No. They're just another outlet for spam, and the fact that there's no hard-delete function for VMs makes it impossible to completely clean them out.

1. If it came to the crunch, and PC had to remove either private messages or visitor messages, which would you prefer to keep?
Both have advantages and disadvantages. For example, normal users can send PMs only every 60 seconds, while the VM limit is set to 45 seconds, which adds to the fact they're faster to send, and won't take space in your (limited) inbox. Yet, they're not as personal as the PMs and cannot be forwarded, nor you can send the same VM to multiple accounts. If they had to remove either PMs or VMs, I would prefer to keep the first though.

2. Do you reply to visitor messages faster than private messages?
No, not at all. It really depends on the message and/or the person who sent it.

3. Do you think PC needed visitor messages in the first place?
I don't think there was a true need IMHO, though it's good to have multiple choices.

1. If it came to the crunch, and PC had to remove either private messages or visitor messages, which would you prefer to keep?
I would be severely pissed off, but I would have to choose visitor messages, even though they are my favorite and I love to talk that way. I would much rather be ABLE to talk to someone in private if I had wanted to.

2. Do you reply to visitor messages faster than private messages?
Yes. I am much more inclined to answer visitor messages first, but that doesn't mean that I ignore the PM's either. I answer both just the same.

3. Do you think PC needed visitor messages in the first place?
Why not? It's quick, convenient, fun, and easy. I like it.
