Do you have comp issues at Times.

My computer works normally... but sometimes when I wake up from hibernation, my computer sometimes crashes due to my graphics adapter. >_<

I think I need a new computer. But my dad refuses to get one. Free space = 272 MB. Not good.

Ya, that sucks, it's pretty dangerous to have so little space left like that.

... There's just about always a problem with my computers.

My main PC is *almost* silent.
It's about as quiet as I can have it, given the overclock.
I've got a home-brewed water cooling solution running for the CPU, VPU, Northbridge and HDD cooler.
It's *extremely* quiet.
Hence the fact I never turn it off.
As for my other two boxes; there's a Celeron 400 in my closet, which I can't hear through the door, and my Athlon 2500+ is only ever turned on when I wanna try something out.

I?ve never had a water-cooled PC. I?ve never built one either, though I think I?m very capable. I?d be nervous about setting down the motherboard and handling the processor and heat sink(sp?), but other than that I?ve done all the rest repairing my older crappy computer in the past anyways. -.-; It's now my parents' computer, yay! =D;

The only part to worry about to attatching the HSF (Heatsink/Fan) onto an Athlon chip.
I've killed three chips by attaching the HSF. And I'm not incompetant, you just have to exert a **** OF A LOT of force on the bloody thing.
One of the reasons I moved to P4 :D Sit the heatsink on, flip two levers and it's attatched.

I?ve never used an Athlon machine either, so I guess I wouldn?t have to worry about that. ^^; Who knows what?ll be out by the time I actually get to build one though, mmeh. @_@ At least this has 2 GB of RAM?overkill but it should stay a good computer for a while huh?

Well one would hope so :D
I cant even make use of that much.
I have 1.5GB available as memory, and 512MB as a RAMdrive that my page files exists within. Which works well, cause no matter how much RAM you have, Windows, and Win32 programs will ALWAYS make use of the swap file before even using 30% of your memory. So having the page file existing in actual memory serves my needs quite well.
And keeps my machine with a zip in its step.
Especially in Morrowind, the Page File Who-ore.
^_^

I'm thinking about getting an Athlon for my next computer, they are just as fast as Pentiums in office applications and since I don't have a lot of time for gaming etc., one should be OK. Only thing is choosing a motherboard, Pentium motherboards tend to be better although there are some really good Athlon mbs around now.

mmm, actually, Athlons excel on a clock for clock basis, at just about anything.
They are the superior platform.
But they only scale so high, while the P4 is still ramping up, which is why I switched over.
With regards to motherboards, my philosphy is that Gigabyte for Intel, and MSI for AMD. I steer clear for ASUS (Anything who's name is "A Sus" tends to make me worry) and any other brand. DFI are okay, though.
Get an Athlon Mobo based upon the nForce3 or KT600 and you really can't do too badly.

My comp NEVER crashes! and there's no such thing as viruses [well, very few] for Macs + Linux, so if ya want your compie problems solved, get Red Hat [It's a form of Linux].

If you want to CREATE more problems then there needs to be, use Linux.
It's NOT intended as a desktop solution. It never will be.
