I can't stand that ****. If I'm talking to someone I don't know, I will politely ask them to type correctly. If they refuse and want to try and badger me online, I'll just ignore you. Simple and easy. If it's someone I know... well. They should know better than to talk to me using that filth.

In my opinion, it's weakening peoples grammar and level of intelligence. Seriously, the first time you hear someone go LOL in person, you'll be dumb struck. I had no idea what to think when I heard that. Why is it so hard to spell out your words or use proper grammar and punctuation? I use it whether I'm here on the forums, talking over an instant message, in an email or through text messaging.

It really isn't hard and I wish people would stop taking short cuts. At the MOST it cuts off what, a few seconds? It's not cute, it's not funny and it only makes you look stupid. So come on people, take those few extra seconds and at least give the appearance you are an intelligent human being.

Granted, I will use smiles and the such, and occasionally emote (IE. *rubs the back of his head*) but it's only because it's hard to convey proper emotion over the internet. That, and I enjoy role playing, so emoting in my opinion, is not 'text language'. :P

I use it soo much, my friend will say something and I will say back "Idk."

I don't like 1337-Chatspeak (text language), but I don't mind it either. I don't support it, and I sometimes find it difficult to read, and I would never even use it to text on my phone...if I could text.

Sooo... now "text language" = bad spelling? No one talks like that. :\

I use abbreviations and such when I'm on MSN or something. I don't use the WRONG letters when doing it, like replacing an s with a z, which is just stupid. But I do shorten some words and such.

lol @ ppl taking typing so srsly. I don't see why anyone should judge others for their typing preference. Sure, it gets annoying if way overdone, but there's nothing wrong with it in small amounts :\

Even when I'm texting, I attempt to use the correct grammar and spelling. Besides, I have a 2500-character limit, so I don't have to worry about maxing it :P

On forums and on MSN, I don't see the need for it. You don't pay for every character you use, so why attempt to use the least amount of characters when sending a message? It's a disgrace to the English language, and I hate using it.

No. I'm raised on proper grammar and parents that correct my slightest slip ups. :3 In fact, when I first got into AIM, I was using correct grammar, and the friend I was chatting with at the time had to tell me to use l33t speek; granted didn't really stick with me at all.

However, when I'm super tired, I'll probably use it to some extent. One half of my mind will be trying to make things easier while the other half tries to correct the mistakes.

I don't mind abreviations (I use them myself), but I never use txtspk when im texting or chatting. When people use it constantly it winds me up something chronic.

Um, no. Hell no. That's something I cannot stand on the internet.

ppl tht talk lyk diz ned 2 go fal in a whole

Umm, no. I don't use text language at all. I think it is very annoying. I spell everything out when I text. I know I am slow by doing that, but doing in text speak isn't good at all. I know when I am online, I type everything out as well. I don't understand what they are trying to say if they do text language. It is like a foreign language. @_@

So to answer the question: I hate it. D: But there are some people who don't mind it...I guess I tolerate it. I still hate it though.

I used to, and now i regret it.
I hardly speak in "text-language" now.
