You know, I have that same opinion when I play as the new girl.

I usually play the games as the girl the first time I play one of the new Pokemon games. Except for HeartGold where I played as the dude first.

Haha!! This has to be the most hilarious reason I have ever heard.


I buy both versions of each game and play one as a guy and the other as a girl. Always the guy first though.
 
Usually on the First one I purchase, I play as a male, and if I ever do get around to buying the other, I play my second runthrough as a female (Partially because it helps me keep the runthroughs apart). The only times I make an exception are on Platnium (I'm always the guy) and Crystal (I'm always the girl)
 
For current gen games...

Pearl: Girl
Platinum: Girl
(Dawn's design was just x10000 times better Lucas's)

Heartgold: Male
(Gol-uh, i mean Ethan, is, in my opinion, the best male character design)

Black: Male
(For once, both of the designs were decent. But, alas, I am a boy irl, so male was the way to go)
 
Male every time. Just because I am. But in Hoenn I did not like the male trainer. HIs outfit is weird imo.
 
Boy, because if I chose to be a girl my friends will make fun of me and that the main character of the TV show is Ash, and he is a boy.
 
Well, in the first two generations, I thought that the guy looked better. So I played as a guy first. This didn't include Generation 2-2 (HG/SS) I actually preferred the girl then, because the graphics improved enough I could see and appreciate what she wears. XD

Generation III, was great, and even though I played the guy first, I really preferred playing as a girl. She looks way better in that style outfit than he did.

Generation IV and V? Girl all the way. They look way better, and the Generation V girl seems older.
 
I play as male. I am a male so that is why I play as a male.
 
Ever since Gen II I've always played as a girl. I doesn't feel....right being a guy xD

I might play as a guy on my second Unova runthrough though :L I quite like his sprite.
 
Whoever I feel like I wanna be. Mostly the guy though. And I've never play as a boy in Crystal, because the chick has blue hair, which is cool. -puts on shades- Plus she's only in Crystal. Poor girl.
