Do you prefer playing the game Tabletop or playing it online via the TCGO client?

Personally I find the TCGO version of the game a lot more fun.

I'm more of a collector than player - so you'd never catch me with play marks on my cards lol. But I always heard that TCGO was a broken, unoptimizable mess. Same with Magic Online and every other card playing platform save for Hearthstone.

That said, how else are you supposed to play with online friends for us loners who don't have a TCG squad? :(

Oh for sure, that is true. I reckon it's due for a big update though so hopefully it comes soon!

Given what I know about the dev and how their priority seems to be their own online CCG over the one they're contracted to maintain, I don't think we'll see any updates to the deckbuilder anytime soon. :(

Well, there's a few different clients out there. Most of the unofficial MTG play methods have packs for Pokemon on them, and then there's also TCGOne.net

I like playing TCGO, but sometimes play with theme decks against my friends.

Both are good, but I like TCGO more.

um i prefer pokemon play it duh. jk um i've never played tcg online so i can't really compare. and i haven't really built new decks lol i still have all of my decks put together, but my hay day was gen III so they're old and no longer viable. but i still bring them out from time to time and play with my partner. idk i guess even though i can't compare online and tabletop, i still prefer tabletop bc i like the feel of the cards in my hand, i like having everything out. it's really nostalgic and reminds me of my weekends at the hobby shop as a kid. i'm sure online is fun too, but it just doesn't seem like it'd give me the same vibe.

overall though, i'm more into collecting than playing, but i do enjoy a good game from time to time. i was actually trying to build a stupid gimmick deck made out of the southern islands set lmfao. it was purely for fun and not serious at all and def wouldn't be a good deck, but that was a fun project.
