    Today in my Writing class our teacher asked the class how many of us usually read newspapers, and less than half of the 106 people who are studying journalism with me raised their hands. So, do you read newspapers? Only once a week? Never?

    I myself read one per day, but I know I'm quite strange XD

    Oh...when there's a newspaper in front of me and I have nothing to do, I'll definitely read it. I get most of my news from the internet and television however, but newspapers are nice for sports scores and other stuff. Too bad my mom had to cancel all our papers...X(

    I only read newspapers if my dad's gone and bought one and he's finished reading it. Only sometimes though XD i also get most of my news from the internet/TV.

    Yes i do.
    I get my read of the newspaper in English or Literature O.o (whatever)
    But usually i read it round my grandparents :D
    I hate how they make fake stuff up though....
    BUT the Garfield comics are probably the only reason why i read it :D

    As stated above, if I know there is going to be something important in it, I'll check it. ^^;

    I really can't find the time to read newspapers since I always seem to be busy doing something. My dad likes watching the news on TV, so I at least have been keeping a firm grasp of the latest issues on world events and controversies by watching along with him.

    The Sun, page 3, 'nuff said.

    In all seriousness though, I don't.

    I read them at work every day, but if I'm at home I won't go out and buy one. o_o
    Laziness?

    I use to read them only for the comics and puzzles, but now I realised news can be interesting too. XD;

    We have 2 newspapers, one for my state and then there's the daily newspaper, which covers the news in other places around Australia, so I read 2 per day. :D I don't want TV anymore, so I need another place to get info of the news.

    I don't really go out of my way to go buy one everyday, but yeah, if they're lying around I'll read them.

    I know my grandparents gets the new york times delivered here on a regular basis. Not sure about any local papers, though.

    Very rarely I do if it just sitting there and I am alone for Breakfast or something I just skim through the 'not boring' parts. :)

    I occasionally read, but mostly the obituaries to check if I didn't wake up dead... But other than that, no.

    ~symphony.

    I would say The Sun, but I don't think that counts XD It's the only newspaper my mum buys so the only one I have the chance to read. So no, I don't read any papers.

    Well, if there is an interesting cover story then I might, and if it's really interesting I'll continue reading it.
    But otherwise, no I don't.

    I used to read them solely for the comics only, but apparently the news can be interesting.

    Every time I see a local newspaper I always read through the interesting stories and save the comics for last. There's also the global ones but they don't cover anything I'm not aware of (And if they do I usually skim through it in a matter of seconds).

    Nowadays I read them for both comics and news.

    I will occasionally read the local newspaper at school, but I don't go out of my way to pick up something I'm simply going to skim through anyway. I get all the news I need from the internet, CNN, and BBC.

    It's a pity really; I should strive to read more in my day.
