Do you talk like you type?

The words you use, the way you formulate your responses, things like that. Do you talk like you type? I don't. I type more coherently and intelligently than I speak.

whenever i type like this and put **** in every sentence and do a stream of consciousness then yes this is how i actually talk

If i make a post in OC that has one or two paragraphs then no obvs i couldnt actually talk like that, but otherwise i don't really make an effort.

I think I sound more intelligent and sophisticated when I type. When speaking, an occasional "dat" or "dis" may slip out without me not even realizing it.

Oh, no way. It is much easier to type than talk, especially because I can think about what I am going to say for as long as I want, and it usually comes out clearly and I don't jumble up my words like I sometimes do in real life. It's also easier to say "bad" words and the like.

If I'm ranting or going on about something really quickly then that's pretty close to how I usually talk. I think both are fairly similar though. I'm not a very elegant typist and I don't speak very elegantly either unless I'm being silly.

I tend to do run-ons which is pretty much the text version of how I type since I like to ramble on and on. I even shorten words like whatever/whatevs and totally/totes. Basically, if you ever heard me talk, and then read something I typed up, you would see that I type almost exactly the way I talk. The only time when I'll type a little more properly is when I'm being really serious about something.

sometimes. my diction is the same online as it is in real life. additionally, the "tone" i type in tends to sound rather monotonous (doesn't it?), which is similar to how i would normally sound like when i'm at home (yes, i have a separate indoor and outdoor voice).

Not really, the way that I talk has a lot less consistency and a lot more errors than my typing. When I speak quite a lot of the time my mouth goes faster than my brain so I have difficulty getting words out that are correct or in the correct order. However when I type there is less of a chance that will happen. It still happens quite a lot but with typing I have the chance to correct myself before anyone reads it.

I don't even speak English on a daily basis, actually. This might sound a little exaggerated, but I either speak very little or do not speak at all. Hence, I lack English speaking skills, and am not as efficient when it comes to speaking. I stutter a lot, and I'm a little naive. Give me a pen and piece of paper, and I'll do much better. I'm not a native speaker so I'm sometimes even skeptical about my English.

To an extent. I tend to type more intelligently than I talk cause when I actually do talk and use big words and discuss big important things with people, they make the "wtf did you just say" face at me and I'm like ".......................this was a vocabulary word I learned in grade school how do you not..." so eh. I have to dumb down my language in person. I swear more in person also HEE HEE. Other than that, it's pretty much the same. All the "likes" and "uhhhs" and such is me. My accent tends to slip into my typing too. I'll say reckon, ain't, y'all, etc and even shorten -ing verbs with 'in. SOOOO YEAH.

my posts are all kind of formless and unorganized, uncapitalized~ most say the things I type look ugly l0l
I'd like to think that I'm mimicking my style of speech which is broken in segments and without a continuous flow

hmm so yeah I'd say I talk like I type... actually, that I type like I talk

My diction is actually "better" when speaking because when I type/write I read it over and over and it never seems right. I have a slight overbite and it causes me to mumble and "th"s a lot of the times become "d"s for example. I also talk faster than I should. ;/ People have a hard time understanding me.

I more or less talk exactly how I type, with the exception that sometimes I resort to speaking in a delayed fashion in order to make sure I say what I actually want to communicate.

Sometimes I try and appear to be cold and formal on the internet. Other times I'm typing like a lunatic. The latter I would say is similar to how I converse in the real world.

Well.. I do type really similar to how I speak.
Maybe a bit more correctly xD

I have a bad habit of writing "..." every time when in a normal conversation I would make a pause.
After writing a post once I usually have a lot of those to "correct" because I use that way too much >.>

Hard to say. I think it varies, to be quite honest. Sometimes I talk more formal and less like myself, and sometimes it causes it to look like I'm more apathetic than I really am (though I am quite apathetic as a default). However, when I start typing the way I talk, the reaction I get sometimes just makes me go 'Yeah don't meet me in real life ♥'. I think it depends on the mood I'm in, and who I'm talking to. The more I learn about the person and how they react to things, I alter the way I type around them so I don't piss them off or anything. but of course, sometimes that doesn't work either. Just how life goes, I suppose! When I'm talking more like I do in real life, you'll start seeing things such as 'ain't, tho, ing with the g, etc etc', and my personality and how I feel about the situation might show a bit through it as well... as long as it isn't misinterpreted.

No, if I typed like I talked there would be far more swearing, far more "uhhh" and "ummm" noises randomly inserted into my posts, and my sentences would be shorter and choppier.

However, my overall tone of posting is similar to my tone of speaking. I like to insert a bit of humor (sometimes of the sarcastic variety) and "evil villain-ness" into my conversations, both online and IRL.

Yes, normally. I hate dull conversations, though normally the tables are turned and I'm the dull conversationalist. I have issues expressing myself fluently in person I will admit that, unless given time to think about my response. Not because my mind can not formulate one, but because I don't want to sound like half of the ignorant morons that speak in this world. (And have not a clue what they're speaking of)

So I suppose giving the fact that typing takes thinking, and you may always backspace, it's almost like a half and half for me. I'm always thinking before I speak unless I'm angered. Even then though I act the same online and off, rash, flustered, and caps rage or yelling.

    Hahaha, no.

When I talk, I always sound like an idiot. I don't have enough time to really articulate what I'm saying. I'll trail off or forget what I was saying or say something with a really weird sentence structure.

However, I'd say if I had the same time to think about what I was saying when I was saying it that I do with typing, that I'd probably sound the same. Even when I'm making posts on PC, I usually type what comes to mind first and edit it where it's needed. I use the same vocabulary and slang. The only real difference is sentence structure.

And smilies. Lots and lots of smilies. :)

No, I'm generally a light hearted person IRL, but it all depends on the situation. Sometimes I do have to get back to my sarcastic and forceful "internet personality," though it doesn't happen often.

I'm also a slow thinker, so it becomes evident that I'm not as articulate as I am at making points IRL than on some internet forum.
