Does anyone else think that the only good pokemon movies were the first ones?

TOTALLY!!! I never watch the new ones but I miss the first three! (pokemon 2000 intro song is the best!and i almost cry with lugia)

Agreed!! Pokemon 2000 had some really good songs (Lugia's song!). All of the Pokemon movies in general have had reasonably good musical scores.

tbh the only one I like is the first one. Also that one with Lucario was pretty good. :D

What does 4Kids have to do with the movies maturity?

'Cause 4Kids is just as it's name suggests for kids. Of course it's gonna be childish 'cause it's a kid's show.

I think the movies got a little worse each time. The first one is my favourite out of the ones I've seen. I gave the others a chance but it wasn't the same for me. =\

Pokémon: The First Movie - I still remember the day I saw it (convinced my dad to take me during a family gathering). Definitely like it.

Pokémon: The Movie 2000 - On par if not a little better in some aspects than the 1st.

Pokémon 3: The Movie - Had the potential to be amazing, but then it started getting weird with the whole battle scenes with Misty and Brock. But then again Charizard holding it's own against "Entei" was pretty awesome.

Pokémon 4Ever - Again, this had a lot of potential in my mind but I just thought it wasn't that great. Decent, but not great.

Pokémon Heroes - I actually like this one not because of the plot but this was where the filmmakers started to get real world scenery inspiration. The Venice-like city was pretty sweet but the plot could have been way better.

Pokémon: Jirachi Wish Maker - Hated it. Didn't contribute anything to the series. Nothing more to say about it.

Pokémon: Destiny Deoxys - Was ok, but the whole futuristic city was somewhat cliche.

Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew - I really liked it because not only did it tie in with the first movie and explain a lot, the plot was great too. And Lucario looks cool.

Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea - I didn't even finish it.

Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai, Giratina and the Sky Warrior, and Arceus and the Jewel of Life - I liked the idea of the underlying plot between all three and the first two were good (Giratina and the Sky Warrior being my favorite) but the last one ruined it for me. Arceus' voice, the plot, everything could have been 1000x better. I do hope they do the plot thing again with the next set of movies (maybe not with the upcoming Zoroark one but the ones after that) but learn from their mistakes. I am a sucker for exceptional locations and setting in movies so all three were great in that aspect (especially Giratina and the Sky Warrior).

So there are all of my thoughts...

That was one of the most epic battle scenes of all time!

i liked the one with darkcry in it i cant thing of the name right now

^ Rise of Darkrai.

I really used to like that movie as well but then I watched it too many times. Now I can't stand watching it since it seems so fresh in my head everytime. Though I do think that the Oracion was a better song then whatever the Movie 2 song was.

I agree, the earlier movies were better than the movies now in my opinion.

I loved the first 4, (up to the Celebi movie), then they began losing appeal to me. But, I also liked The Rise of Darkrai, that was a pretty good one.

Everything about pokemon was good until Sinnoh Gen games came out and Pokemon in America got handed to 4kids and they started making episodes. Oh, and it never says in the show how old he is. Is he still 10? That would be nice. he made a cool 10 year old.

Yep Rise of Darkrai and Giratina and the Sky Warrior arent too bad but I do not like that Arceus movie very much. He's not even that cool. I hated his voice the most.

The first pokemon movie is still the best for me. Heck, i think the first 151 pokemons are still the best pokemons around. The first few seasons are my favorite seasons. I could care less for the following seasons were new pokemons were introduced. I found it quite disappointing after the first few showed up. Sometimes I would suddenly want to watch the first movie and first season, but i never had the urge to re-watch the seasons and movies of later pokemons, they just lost appeal

4Kids never made an episode. The Pokémon International Company (When they werre Pokémon USA) helped produce an episode but I don't believe that 4Kids ever made one.

It seems as if the movies are getting worse every time a new one comes out. I still like watching them but the first 1 and 2 were definately the best

I actually like all of them. But the two with mewtwo are the best. IF they remade it they might make the battle as epic as they do in the new movies however. But yeah the older movies are better imo.

The Mewtwo and Lugia movies are the best, though I also like the Lucario ones. The others were nice to watch, but that's where it ended.

Yea, I agree. The Kanto & Johto ones were the best. The rest were okay or just plain bad.
