Does anyone ever overpower one pokemon?

i did on the original Red version. I had a level 60 raticate with all of the other pokemon still in the tens. literally. i feel in love with the hyper fang move.

I always have a team of six, and I rotate them so that they all level totally and completely evenly. If one of them is one level higher than the others, I won't let it battle until all the other ones have caught up to it. o__x Then again, I've got OCD, so that could say something...

This is what I do. I'm trying to get out of that habit though because I end up with a Mothim facing an Onix.

Mehehehehe...Guilty. I've done it for every generation since Blue, leveling my starter to 100, and if I still have time, my bird poke to 70 or so (with the exception of Blue where I also raised Porygon). On Platinum, however, I ditched my starter and instead decided to over-power my Porygon2!

I overpowered 2 pokemon, my starter Torterra and for some reason Rapidash. I think it's good if you really like that pokemon but I don't really use Rapidash now so if I get SS I'm going to think about how much I level up my pokemon.

Wow, as it turns out, I did it in Platinum o_O

Evidence:

HALL OF FAME No. 1 Aug. 8, 2009
Empoleon Lv 71
Electabuzz Lv. 59
Giratina Lv. 52
Gabite Lv. 45
Rhydon Lv. 43
Luxray Lv. 40

:D

Yeah, I like tons of pokemon, so i end up with a decently levelled team. But then i tend to suddenly hate them all bar one, and just raise that.

But i do tend to end up hyper-levelling a couple of poke all the time.

LeafGreen:Charizard, then Dragonite
Emerald:Swampert,Salamence, Latias
Diamond/Platinum:The above pokes that i've migrated, +Scizor

Well, when I started with Silver I didn't understand how the whole RPG concept worked (and I kept restarting my game because I was hoping the little pokeball on the OW would stop being a potion XD), but once I figured it out I had but one pokemon: Typhlosion. IT was level 87 by the end of the elite 4, and my seconds highest was a level 18 Pidgey.

Then, since I still didnt understand what was really happening, I went back to LoZ. Then I picked up Emerald and it made sense. But I still had no care for any of my pokemon except for Sceptile. My second highest level was a level 27 Tropius (caught it at that level) and then a 20 something mightyena (Caught it at that level).

Now I Grind al my pokemon to the same high level. It takes time, but I dominate everything.

When I beat the Elite Four in Platinum (which is significantly harder than in DP) I was pretty tired of battling using actual strategy. So when I got to to the Battle Area and surrounding routes, I basically just used Alakazam and manhandled any trainer that dare stare at me...

So as of now my Alakzam is lvl 70 and my Torterra (second highest Pokemon) is lvl 53. :bandit:
