  • I guess you can do that. I have a card shop near me and they have tourtys every fri night...

But on saturdays they have a league where if you get enough wins you get free pokemon stuff (cards, packs, Holo-cards, lv. X's, Ex's, and starter decks)

  • I still play, though I don't play in tournaments. My decks are unlimited. I have 2 Water/Electric (Wailord+Raichu/Quagsire+Magneton) decks, a Psychic (Gardevoir+Banette) deck, and a Rainbow/Colorless (Ho-oh+Rayquaza+Mew) deck. I hardly ever get a chance to play since high school, but I still sometimes do with my mom or cousin.

  • I've been playing obsessively over the past couple of weeks- ever since I got back from Worlds a few weeks ago, I've been playing a lot more seriously. I got League every Saturday. :D

  • I have been to been to my local league, maybe, twice, since Worlds this year.

I might go to another league session or two before our Battle Roads (October 11th). But for now, I am taking a break from the game. I am a bit Pokemon'd out.

  • No, I don't play it anymore. The Pokemon TCG trend is just finished.

First There were Pokemon Cards and Beyblades.(of course I bought them), then Duel master, I didn't like the, so I didn't do anything Duel master-related. The present Kids trend is Yoyo.

Yeah, my son and I have found a couple folks in SE Idaho that play and more that have tons of cards that we're teaching how to play. I'm (dad) running Rockets zapdos, promo mewtwo, electrobuzz hey maker. Working on rocket's moltres/ rockets moltres ex with typhlosion to keep them energized. Q (son) is working on statistical considerations in his three decks and is still considering his options for specific pokemon.

    Uhh...I would say No.
I CAN play, I used to play the old set, but these new rules were confusing and no-one plays anymore. If I lived near where there were leagues I might play properly but I'm much more of a collector. When I played, I had a pretty mangled deck of 5 types (in the days where Weaknesses being exploited were very useful). Now...I dunno. I suppose I could. Last time I did was in 07. The deck was provided and me, being every so rusty defeated two guys who were at the table (Pokemon event). I felt quite proud that rusty ol' me defeated them.

So...If I had someone to play, enough "legal" cards to make a deck, learnt all the rules and got my old experience up, I might be able to play (I've never met many people who can play...about 5 total in my entire life). I felt so proud knowing what the cards actually DID, everyone collected, no-one realized what the energies did...sigh, I'm rambling now.

So bottom line. Do I play? Not anymore, but It'd be fun to play again.
