A lot of the names I like only make sense on a female, so my lineup is mostly females

I don't really care about genders. As long as the Pokémon has good IVs and nature and the necessary egg moves to make it useful, I couldn't possibly care less about its gender. The only Pokémon whose genders I really care about are Heracross, Gyarados and Wobbuffet. I'd prefer Gyarados and Heracross as females because white whiskers looks much better on Gyarados than blue ones, and female Heracross' heart-shaped horn is schmexy. <3 Wobbuffet should always be male because the female Wobbuffet sprite in D/P is the scariest things in existence. ;_;

I don't usually care; I remember hearing once that males and females have different stats or growth rates or something, but since I don't care about that, it's never mattered to me.

I used to be really adamant about getting a certain gender for some Pokémon (like I always have to have a female Pichu/evolution named Lightning in my games :B), but now that they've gone and altered the sprites for each gender, I'm not so keen on it. I hate some of the female or male sprites so... yeah. <_<; I might just disregard gender and go for looks now. I'm so superficial. D: Otherwise, I've only wanted specific gender for really weird reasons, like insisting on catching a male Cherubi with a heal ball (because it's pink). xD;

Overall, though, I don't care about gender. It makes no difference to me since any nicknames I give are usually unisex anyway.

I ALWAYS have to have my milotics female, machamps male, etc. Just because of how they look, I like it to match. Also, Mence is a schmexy female. lol

But serriously, I like the male symbol better, though I don't ever really care what the gender is, excpet for certain pokemon. And blissey is ALWAYS female, so ya know.

Milotic-Female
Machamp-Male
Bilssey-Femle
Jigglypuff-Female
Tyrannitar-Male
Steelix-Male
Rapidash-Female

Yep, and i always have these in the right gander. Others, well... I don't really care.

lol don't care

as long as it aint a female Mr.Mime

tahts just creepy

Its Japanese name has NOTHING to so with the male gender.

Like everything else screwy about the translation (Firefly Light --> Tail Glow, Ambush --> Sucker Punch, Sneak --> Switcheroo, Kodakku --> Psyduck, Beequeen -->Vespiquen), It's all Nintendo of America's fault.

The only Japanese translation I've known that's caused problems was the translation of Splash, which used to be more like Flop. o_O And that's only a problem because Hoppip knew Splash. I guess genders are another reason for concern when it comes to some Pokémon, but for the most part, I think the localization's been okay. D:

And even then it's not really their fault for Mr. Mime. I mean, gender didn't come into the picture until second gen, after all.

I don't actually care to be honest, but I do tend to prefer male pokemon =P

HAH! A few times. I'd prefer my starters male. Certain pokes on my team I won't budge on. It took five months to breed the perfect Oddish, simply because I wanted a male, on top of Hidden Power.

I am usually flexible. My Noctowl & Gyarados, I wanted female for whatever reason.

I'm just worried about attract.

Usually male, so I can breed moves when and if I need to. Sometime though, pokemon (Gardevoir, Roserade, Milotic) have to be female.

i prefer male in most pokemon cause...well just think about it

a female m.r mime?
a female machoke?
a female tyranitar?
a female scyther

a male chancey?
a male jigglypluff?
a male bleesy
a male clafery?
a male iggybuff?

I don't know why, but I've always preferred male Pokemon to female ones, though if I find a rare one which is female, I won't ignore it just because it's female . . .

a male chancey?
a male bleesy

Um, you don't have to worry about these because these don't exist. The entire Chansey line is 100% female.

Also, I can imagine female Scyther... eating males after mating with them. *solemn nod*

only when you breed, otherwise no

I really don't care for the gender, unless if I'm breeding Pokemon than yes I do. But since I rarely breed I dont

:t354:TG

I don't really care. When breeding for a pokemon, gender would just be another hassle. Coincidentally, I have only one female on my competitive team, Salemence. Lol, it isn't right XD

I usually don't mind, but they're some Pokemon where I'd really rather have a specific Gender. i.e. a Male Machamp, or a Female Gardevoir.
