Does music inspire you?

Music doesn't inspire me at all. =/ xD I get no feeling from it. Nothing at all. And I'm a composer, and my own music isn't based on emotions or anything. o_o

Lol Yeah, music inspires me in that way.... but certain songs also inspire me about things in life and stuff like that... -^^-

Oh, music's definitely inspired me before. There have been times when I've created pictures, or written things, all while being driven on by an idea or emotion that was put into my head due to a song or two.

I know at one point, a few years back, just listening to video game music (specifically, music from various Final Fantasy games) put me in more of a mood to write things. Sadly, that same thing doesn't work as well for me anymore.

Then why do you still bother composing. Isn't music about emotions? Music without emotions is at best boring. At worst, it's lifeless.

I dunno. The people who've heard my compositions have LOVED them, but yet, I can't really consider myself a musician or anything, since I don't really put "emotion" into them. My favourite composer, Michiko Naruke, has made over 700 compositions, and they're flawless and she's even stated that she doesn't put much of her emotions into it.

It's kinda weird, making music but not being able to actually call yourself a "musician".

Sometimes, but only when I'm in the mood. Other times, I just like to listen to music for no apparent reason.

Yes, all the time o_o. I'm constantly relating songs to aspects of my life, or certain anime characters. I often get inspired to draw pictures illustrating the songs as well.

anyway,yes definatly...when I'm sparring,I put on rock music (just cuz I'm black doesn't mean I don't listen to diffrent kinds of music....^_^ )and it's like eye of the tiger to Rocky....catch my drift?......and then sometimes I think of a song I'm not even hearing,and I jam to it...physically...and averybody's like:WTF is he doing?!!!! lol

I wouldn't say it inspires me, but motivates me. Before I play a game of something, sports wise, I like to listen to music that can pump me up. I guess you can it inspires me to go out there and give it my all.

Softer tunes just help me either relax or concentrate on any kind of work but fast paced music gets me adrenaline pumping X3

Definetly, when I'm writing or drawing, or making graphics - I always listen to music. Without music I'd probably have an artistic block all the time.
