Like NGE and all those pseudo-deep bs series that followed. Trying to emulate something that sells a lot is fair but there have been plenty of money making magical girl series. I guess the western animu fans will make the link with Madoka as it was their first non fluffy venture into the genre.

I'd also add that this series was in the pipeline even before Madoka aired.

Despite me having been interesting in the Dangan Ronpa anime after finishing the Let's Play I'm... still not in the anime/manga mood. So I suppose it's on my list of 'anime and manga to read/watch when I'm ever in the mood again' with anything else that might be good idk.

I saw Dangan and just spoiled myself last night on TVTropes.

Pretty nice twists and such.

Also read 5 Volumes of the Jin Manga. I want more Time Travel manga like that.
