Yeeaaahhhhh, I actually have a pretty bad picture of the US myself. But since I've never been there I shouldn't judge.
I actually really like Sweden (let's hope I don't sound nationalist now). I don't get the people wishing they were born somewhere else. Especially the weebs who say they wish they were born in Japan. I mean holy crap, if you knew anything you'd realize how it'd suck to live in Japan.

Well, my sis has been living in Japan as an English teacher for a good... gosh, it's been a year now, hasn't it? Year and a half maybe? I'm not sure anymore. But! She says that despite the generally small living spaces and the fact that it's hard to find a lot of food and stuff she grew up with, she's immensely happier. Says the people are friendlier and far more respectful, etc. Also said the crime rate is like... pretty low. She said that honestly, she doesn't want to move back here ever if she can help it.
