Oh, and my friend, whom I pwned, was having trouble catching Ho-oh, right? It always ended up using Struggle in the end, according to him. So, the one time he hands the game to me while he goes to get the Wii set up, I end up capturing the thing without resetting XD

I still don't know how to win the bug catching contest. Some places I read say it's dependent on how much HP the pokemon has, species, and levels.

Does anyone have a chart of what combination has the best chance of winning, or just what they won with?

I always seem to win with Butterfree on Tuesday, and then Kricketune for Thursday and Saturdays. After National Pokedex, that is.

Don't attack. At all. Just throw Sport Balls until you catch it. Less Sport Balls you throw and catch it with seems to help as well.

Huh. I didn't know that HP was dependent in the older games. I was so young then I just mashed the A button when I played. I think I usually won with a butterfree or beedrill if I remember correctly.

I caught a scyther level 14 when I played in SS and didn't even place in the top 3. It was beat by A WRITHERING CATERPIE!
