I was lazy and claimed pretty much the same I claimed before. /shrugs.
Anyways, how you color... well... there are many ways to color. XD; It's best to develop your own way of doing so. :3 But the main thing you have to know is things like 'Multiply' will let you color without erasing the lines (new layer. place it on multiply. color). It's preferred that you have one layer for each type of color (one for hair, one for skin, etc) and if you wanna go deeper, layers for the shading as well. That, or you can shade on one layer. How you shade also depends. You can either have is cell-shaded, or something along the lines of shading, and then blurring it so it's smooth (like what you generally see in mine and drea's icons, though how we blur is different since we're using different programs and simply different tactics.)
