I haven't gotten a defective copy of a game in 4 years, because, with Game Boy games, I test them, and I avoid retailers like GameStop when buying new for the most part (exception: SoulSilver), since I can get new games cheaper typically at Target because my mother works there.

They should probably test games before selling 'em, but would they be allowed to use the used consoles they have to test the games out? I mean, they have to believe what they're selling is not a failure ^^;

88. It's probably that it was a new copy. No retailer has a guarantee that a new copy won't be defective, which is why they have return/exchange policies implemented.

I think 'Play n' Trade' test their used games out before putting them on the shelf. It would probably depend on the place, though. I remember when I got a used Pokemon Blue version and it couldn't save. So I went and swapped it for another used Blue version that worked.

93. Is it even possible to change which character you control in combat in ToS? I can't figure it out. /already figured out on accident how to change the overworld character, and has died once already, despite not finishing the first temple yet XD;

Yeah. You press Y Or X I forget because I do it without thinking on the menu (where you changed your overworld character) and it asks you which character you want to swap that character with. You can also go to the menu during battle and change your character there.

Someday I will try getting through ToS without controlling Lloyd. 'Course, my next best bet is probably Colette, as I actually pulled her off just fine (I controlled her 'cause I wanted to spam her Item Thief/Rover moves to get that title for her).

Also, I love how a delay turns into a day off~

Colette can be difficult to play, but once you get the hang of her, she's pretty fun~ For most of the characters, I tend to have a certain move(s) I like to spam, so I tend to get the hang of 'em that way. xD;

So, so true. It's a lot harder with the mages, though, since they take so looong. /unless you get them the EX Skill that cuts the time, or equip them with an item that does the same (though Idk if there's one in Symphonia; there's definitely one in Phantasia)

Move up to MD~ Or someplace else up north.

Mystic Symbol. I think I have both Genis and Raine with the Mystic Symbol and either a Fairy Ring or an Emerald Ring equipped. Both of 'em have 'Concentrate', which makes casting so much easier because they don't stop their casting when hit (it's been a life saver with Raine so many times it's not even funny). Coming with Concentrate is an EX Skill called 'Charge' for Genis, so you can charge a move, and then cast it later (or you can 'charge' the move, but not completely and apparently his moves does more damage).
