Ugh. This thread is not for you to brag about your love for your country but to complain about the stupid laws and such about your country. For example where I am there is now a law against hoods due to hoodlums destroying the whole downtown district in the past months. But I really couldnt give a damn and passed by the cops without a care wearing the hood. While it was a nice sunny day.

Yes I do. I even joined the military.

I don't mind the UK, but there are certain things that bug me - like I have to pay for my vital medication, yet other parts of the country get them free - no fair, I say, but there. Other than some cruddy legislation, I love my country!

Yeah, same here, too. Some of the laws and politicians are darned and rotten, but most of it all is good. I love Finnish nature, I love the Finnish traditions and the Finnish way of never having to use small talk anywhere, and I love Finnish chocolate above everything.

Finnish literature sucks, though. Why is it that books translated to Finnish are so much better? Why can't Finnish people write decent fantasy or sci-fi? All they can do are detective stories and angsty philosophy. I'm planning to change that, though *smirk*

America is sooo overrated. Because it's a super country, everyone is trying to get here.

It's almost madness here. One can fit Europe into America and only 1/4 is filled.

I'll post more once I find other ways to describe America. Don't worry, there's some positive as well~

I actually benefit from America being overrated. Everyone seems to love it and they fascinate over the little things. They respect me and fear me at the same time as well just cause of it. But yeah otherwise its very overrated.

Portugal rocks because I'm part of it.

I love it but only as much as it loves me. Maybe when I will be able to marry who ever I want wherever in the country I wan then I will love it more.

You guys please read the first post next time. I used it as a sarcastic line for i hate some stuff in it. Jeez and people tell me i need to read it sometimes. >_<

The UK is okay. I really hate the crimes because it make the country look bad and it scared me. nobody can go out freely anymore because everyone is scared of being stabbed. Summer isn't summer for teenagers anymore D:

But, I do like the sophistication of the country and the fact that it had a prde in it's nation.

Well... if u live in london the likeabiliity of getting stabbed is like 95% :D
But i dont so its ok for me , i just hate all the pikeys

I didn't even understand your first post, Mitchman...

Um. Anyways, I like Sweden. It's really clean. And pretty green with fields and lots of forests. Swedes are silly and relatively quiet. We have no pollution, no earthquakes or volcanoes. We have high taxes, but that's good because we don't have to pay extra to go to the hospital or school. Heh. I like Sweden.

Some laws are stupid, perhaps. But we have to protect privacy and human rights. Like the "allemansrätten". Anyone can go anywhere and do anything as long as they don't disturb or upset anybody else. Swedish manners are to disturb people you don't know as little as possible. We don't have many beggars or people sleeping out in the streets, since there's this welfare system that takes money from taxes and gives it to the poor. This is a pretty stupid thing, sometimes, since these people getting the welfare-money don't always use it wisely and get a job. They just sorta live off the system.

THIS IS THE LAST FREAKING TIME I AM GOING TO REPEAT THIS BEFORE I DECIDE TO CALL A MOD OVER FOR A LOCK. READ THE FREAKING FIRST POST. THE TITLE IS SARCASTIC.

    Stop being so butthurt and allow the thread to take its natural course. >>;

We have a few... silly laws and legislations over here in the UK. Like how MPs can claim thousands of pounds on petty expenses or on second homes. Though it is fairly amusing when they get found out.

    No, I don't.
America is going down the toilet, and our Government is a major factor to blame.

If you honestly believe this, you are a lot more foolish than I thought. Not many other countries view the United States as a "super awesome country". In fact, many people around the world think the United States has some of the most arrogant citizens in the world for believing just that.

Law-wise, the United States is... well... whatever.

It's the whole "national pride" that I have a problem with. I don't mind a little patriotism, but to the point of singing songs about it all the time? No. I don't really see what I have to be "proud" of; I was simply born here.

Mitchman (Todoroki?), please, don't get so angry over these things. It's not beneficial to the conversation - being calm can get a point across a lot better. This isn't meant to flame you, just a suggestion.

There's nothing wrong with Australia. I can live with all laws and have no problem with them.
