    Am I the only one who was very disappointed by the pokemon in this game? They all seemed to be unoriginal, and uninteresting, with the exception of a few. Posting this will probably make you guys hate me, but I really hope black and white are not this bad.

    Don't worry, Black and White won't be as bad, it'll be worse.
     
    Well, when I first played Pearl, whilst I enjoyed the game in general, I was very disappointed with the Pokemon, Reigon, Storyline etc on a whole.

    But after giving Sinnoh a second chance and buying Platinum, I am actually growing very fond of Sinnoh and all it has to offer.

    Maybe you should possibly playthrough one of the games again, might change your mind like I did.
     
    meh, though i enjoyed the gen I & II pkmn alot,
    i cant say all of them were original.

    I actually like the pokemon from diamond/pearl/platinum. Some of them are a bit boring but some of them have clearly been made creatively. I think blaQk said that b/w will be worse? From what I have seen some of the black and white pokemon look really cool. I'm talking the starters, the bird and the chinchilla pokemon. As of yet I don't think any more pictures of the pokemon have been released but I imagine the starters evolutions will be good.
     
    yea i don't get why a lot of fans are hating on the B/W pokemon i mean sure most of them are nothing like the originals that everyone fell in love with in Gen I but there still really cool and if they hadn't changed up the designs then everyone would be complaining how all the new pokemon look just like the ones from the previous generations
     
    I download the roms and play it. I played most of them and it sucks. I hate it. I wasn't familiar with the new pokemon.

    Yeah I think Dpp wasn't that bad with pokemon. And just play it a few times. Get used to the pokemon. I didn't like B/W pokemon at first but after knowing them for a while, they're really cool.
     
    I didn't hate them all that much, really. Although I think the designs of Skorupi and Drapion are good, I don't like them. Same goes from Combee/Vespiquen, Burmy/Wormadam/Mothim, and a few others. I think Staraptor was a brilliant addition to the normal/flying-type troop, with Close Combat, and Brave Bird.

    However, I liked Hoenn and its' pokemon..so nobody'll listen to me while they smoke heavily on their nostalgia-pipes (which tend to ignore Gen IV)
     
    Eh, Sinnoh was okay, not very good and not very bad. And I agree with you, hopefully B&W are a LOT better.
     
    I'll let it slide this time since someone else already talked about originality, but seriously guys, unoriginal? Come on now.
    (And you're not alone, a lot of people are hating on DPPt, as well as RSE.)

    I rather liked the pokemon in the region, and only hate a few DPPt pokemon. It's my favorite region since most of the pokemon grew on me.
     
    D/P/Pt isn't as bad as the Black/White. In my honest opinion.

    NEXT things next?
    i'm fine with the pokemon- i got used to them
    the region is the worst part of the games (but that's another story)
     
    When I saw the starters of DPPt, I was like "OMG so CUTEEEEEEE!!!!". I think that DP had the best looking pokemon there is. They're beetween simple (Kanto & Johto) and complicated (Hoenn).

    Kanto's pokemon were cute because they're so simple.

    But I never liked Hoenn pokemon much. None of them looked good (possible exception being Lotad line).

    true,the pokemons arent original,and the storyline is freaking idiotic,but.....
    i got used to those things and its the best pokemon game i ever played!
    so shut up!!!! (dont listen to them,its a good game)

    i always liked all pokemon generations, and you were right the pokemon could be more interesting but i mainly liked it because of the story line and the way to get the other rare pokemon(i thinks its funner and harder to abtain then other pokemon). Now i wish they added another region to make the game last longer and beat diamond in 20 hrs. If you get a ar ( action replay) it would make the game last longer( i recommend using ar after you beat your pokemon because it ruins the fun of the game.) and you can obtain other pokemon like darkrai, acreus, shaymin and etc.

    I really love gen 4 Pokemon :( they brought us awesome designs like yanmega and the god pokemon arceus! only one i dont like is probropass, its kinda use less...
