I have found proof in the most unlikely place to confirm the suspicion people have over the event of Turtwig evolving into Grotle.

You can discuss the now proven evolution in this thread.

I love Torterra, so seeing Grotle is amazing enough. Besides, Grotle looks mighty badass in that picture...:P

Now that his turtwig has evolved into grotle...the only questions that remains are is Chimchar going to evolve into monferno and then infernape or is it going to stay the same? Also, will Grotle evolve all the way into torterra or stay as a Grotle??? And finally what's going to happen to the rest of Ash' pokemon who have to evolve???

Well, let's take into account all of Ash's current party Pokemon:

-Pikachu.

Yeah, fat chance.

-Staravia.

Perhaps. If he does, it'll probably be left in the Viridian Forest and he'll promise to come back for it someday.
Wait, where have I heard this one before?

-Grotle.
It could happen. Torterra vs. Torterra. I'd like to see that, because Torterra is one of my all-time favorites.

-Chimchar.
I don't know. It seemed the most likely of the Sinnoh starters to evolve (A poll I did a couple months back on this forum stated that; I think Chimchar had over 60% of the votes.), but now that Turtwig has evolved, I'm not entirely sure. It would be a big kick in the manpackage to Paul, but at the same time...Chimchar could always beat up Torterra. That would be wicked funny stuffs.

-Buizel.

-Gliscor.
Already happened. Easily Ash's best Pokemon. :D

I will be fuming if they did the same ridiculous stunt they did in Johto; make Ash have ONE starter evolve ONCE and that's it. The fact that Chikorita didn't become Meganium is actually one of the biggest reasons I despise Johto. (In general, the Johto arc in the anime seriously made me mad sometimes. >:#)

Because Ash, Always balance his team with electric, fire, grass, WATER, flying and wild card pokemon.

and what type is Buizel? WATER. There's your answer.
And if your trying to be funny you fail. Because, if you don't know already, fans wanted Buizel to be in Ash's team, because he lacks, water type at the time.

i'm glad that turtwig evolved and i know his speed reduction sucks but the power boost dosent.

I thought this was good yet creepy, because I made a theory not long ago that Turtwig would evolve before Ash's fifth gym battle just like Treecko did. So I am proud to see my theory was right, but Chimchar is a whole different question. I think Chimchar will only evolve when he feels he is too weak and must evolve in order to save Ash or the team. That's how Phanpy evolved and Chickorita.

I was disappointed in Turtwig evolving. One because I am not a fan of Grotle, and two I was hoping Turtwig was going to be the new Bulbasaur of Ash's team.

Oh, I posted the thread for the discussion of this episode. I feel like a friggin' moron now, Jorah...:#

-More Elite Four / Cynthia air time = more speculation on my theory of Ash winning the Sinnoh League to compete in the Champion League.
-Me not understanding Japanese = most of the early part of the episode is moot to me. :#
-Wow, Paul really tortured Chimchar. I mean, even Torterra's Hyper Beam would have been enough...:#
-Torterra face shots, woo!
-Turtwig evolving, blah blah blah.
-One of the best things I've seen in the anime happened when Grotle was trying to train itself to run again. When you see it on the verge of tears...gawd, how sad for the poor thing. ;(
-Torterra helping Grotle was really nice. It shows character development not only for Paul's Pokémon, but Paul himself. I thought that was one of the high points of the episode for me.
-Gliscor's reaction to Torterra. "lolwut, me?!"
-Torterra stomping Gliscor was mean! You're going to ruin its cape, Torterra! :(
-The end, when Chimchar, Pikachu and Piplup were all sitting on Grotle. Reminds me of the Orange Islands when the gang sat on Lapras. Nostalgia~
-Grotle's Japanese voice is AWESOME.
-Barry's team. So far, he's revealed Empoleon, Roserade, and Staraptor. This means we still have yet to see Heracross, Snorlax and Rapidash.
-From my deduction skills, it ends up being Roserade beating Gliscor (wtf, srsly >.>), Chimchar beating Roserade, and then Chimchar fighting Staraptor, the ending of which we've obviously yet to see. Pikachu vs. Empoleon looked cool, I have to admit...:)
-Barry doesn't come off as much of an idiot as he did in DPP. "You owe me $1,000,000 if I beat Fantina before you!"

Can't wait for next week. :)

Yes. He (or she, but the majority says its a guy) knows that Hayashigame will have problem with its speed... That means Dodaitose is not the meanie Shinji is.
Take Eleboo as an example. (S)He has friendly feelings for Pikachu. Hikozaru is the most obvious example.

Me too. When I saw its sad face, I almost wanted to cry. Well, of course I didn't, I was at school so I can't do that.

No. Shinji is no nice-nice guy. Dodaitose volunteered. It knew what was going to happen to it's speed. While Grotle was training to become faster, Torterra showed it that, although it wasn't fast anymore, it could still be powerful.

Team Rocket is actually touched by Hayashigame's acts...

Actually, it's roar was kind of intimidating, the one right before the commercial break.

During the battle between Donkarasu and Hayashigame, Dodaitoise's expression was somewhat pitying, you could kinda tell he wanted to intervene or help, or something like that. But for some reason, Hayashigame's weakness didn't seem too sad to me.

Do you think so?! No, Torterra just knew how Grotle felt and decided to help him. Torterra still kinda seemed haughty though, it's not like he was super-friendly and all. No smiles.

Yeah it was pretty funny, him in a hurry and all. Jun certainly seems more interesting here than in the games. In some scenes, the ones where he is yelling, he also looks like he's throwing a tantrum (or acting like a spoiled kid). Cool. Also, Jun is kinda tall.

Well Torterra wasn't necessarily an ass before, just Paul. And it's not like Paul told Torterra to help Grotle.

Him reading up stuff does make sense, but it's just so funny seeing him read. I'd be too scared to watch Pokemon at college, I could in ICT I suppose, but the person who sits next to me would keep giving me funny looks. But it's half-term here, so yay

Hell yeah. I was watching this episode in Youtube, and when I saw him reading, I was like "Wait a minute! What is this? He's reading! Oh my gobstoppers!"

After all, not everyone can make me laugh just seeing one read.

Also, I loved the part when he shouted to TR, "Stop talking nonsense, hurry up!" He is such a natural commander, AND a meanie to "servants". Consider yourself joining Team Galactic, sir? (Hell no, please don't have him go with them. I bet Cyrus has actually NO intention of letting Shinji in. Unless... *hint hint*)

So it appears I'm not the only one who thinks that Paul owning Honchcrow and Weavile, and the fact that he's from Veilstone, Galactic's HQ, and the fact that he seems to just not be around when Galactic shows up, aren't all just mere coincidences...

Soko ni sora ga aru kara is such a powerful song... Could always make me feel teary.

Jun's voice is more mature than I thought (I thought he is supposed to have kiddy voice), but he does retain that "I'll fine you" and impatience trait. Definitely one of the best and interesting Pokemon episode preview in DP.
