I didn't say it couldn't be beaten; the trouble is trying to find out HOW to counter it on the fly.
THIS is what made Garchomp UBER, because in most cases, it weaken your team GREATLY before you manage to counter it, if not pulling off a clean sweep.
 
Unless, your team is mainly tanks and levitators, and I'm a pretty good tank handler at that. Even it did DDance once, it can be beaten off with some pretty slick ambush type moves.
 
Yeah, people just do NOT like fighting Garchomp very well...
every SINGLE team HAD to have a Ice-type attack user, which limited teams options, so they banned it to UBER to make OU more diverse & fun.

I agree with you. Plus, his Sand Veil ability certainly doesn't help. =/
 
Which is your favourite dragon + (other type) combination so far?

Dragon & Steel.

I've got to get a Chomp in my EV team. Would it be good EV'ed against my friends legend party who don't EV?

Anything above NU tier EV trained will at least put up a fight against non-EV'd ubers. So yeah, I'd say it would do great.
 
Does this team sound alright?

Metagross - Att & Df
Garchomp - Att & Spd
Gardevoir - Sp. Att & Sp. Df
Sceptile - Sp. Att & Spd
Ninetails - Sp. Df & Hp
Weavile - Att & Spd

They will all be EV'ed (Hopefully, I can find the person that was going to do it for me originally) in these stats. Does that look o.k. to you?

I wont use them competitively online, so the status doesn't matter. Hopefully I will destroy my friends when I get them EV trained.

been a while since i visited and looked around PC.

some of you might not know me but i was part of the original dragons den
but maybe some of the older members remember me as swampert man 08 (SM08)

I have 2 dragon pokemon on my team on HG/SS. And that's a dragonite and a charizard.:3 Now raising a Bagon. Cuz' I never had a Bagon.

Especially when you consider the fact that Tyranitar & Hippowdon are VERY popular in usage...

That's what I will always do. I don't often battle players from across the ocean. XD My friends have DS and pokemon, and I'm satisfied with that. Since this team will (and almost always)flatten them.

Empoleon Sp.A and Sp Def
Milotic Sp.A and Def
Metagross Atk. and Speed
Regice Def and Sp.A
Latios Sp.A and Spd.
Lucario Atk and Spd


Mostly my team are tanks, and sometimes I use Dusknoir at start with Trick Room, which can certainly disable speed freak dragons.

TOO popular in fact, that people often tend to misuse them. And Tyranitar can certainly kill chomp and mence with the right moves and luck.

I know what you mean. No one plays Pokémon where I live. And the few that do, I pwn them. =/ They don't know what EV's are.

DUDE!!! I have the exact same problem you do!
& considering how hard a Garchomp can Hit, I wouldn't rely on luck...
If Garchomp was that much of a problem for me, I'll try Cloyster.
(I wanna see how good a Skill Link boosted Icicle Spear is...)
