Altaria is based on inquisitive imaginations of people, who had no fun at all. Altaria is a bird, and a "failed" dragon too.

That was funny. Altaria is just a bird made by people who have too much time on their hands. I think we all agree, as much as Altaria is a kinda good Pokemon, it is not a dragon.

I didn't have to look to know that Altaria did NOT look like a Wyvern...
From what I've seen, it's more like a T-rex with HUGE bat-like wings instead of arms...
But still, I've considered that Altaria may have been based on it in an another way...
It does not look like one, but still have the Dragon typing, along with Flying...
& the offical type counts for a LOT more than the egg type...

Altaria is Dragon type hense it's a dragon in the den.
It's not our job to argue over wether it should have this typing or not, it's just our job to enjoy what nintendo creates for us. If they place it in the dragon category then we shouldn't contradict them.

It is where Nintendo has had to fill a gap to make the Hoenn Pokedex, so decided to make another Pokemon that people don't use, and just to be extra annoying, made it a type that it doesn't deserve.

I kinda liked using Altaria in Ruby though~ Doesn't matter that it's a bit weird, it's pretty useful.

I only think Altaria is weird in it's typing and variable movepools, but not it's appearance. Actually I think Altaria is *********.

I want a Dragonite. That is also a cute pokémon, and a much better dragon. I've always found the similarities between Dragonite and Charizard disturbing. The dragon that IS a dragon type looks more like a toy than the "dragon" that is fire/flying.

Altaria has never been my favorite dragon, but it has been one of my first choices for a dragon Pokemon. I want an EV'd team of Platinum, but it's not gonna happen until I can afford a DSi. My DS doesn't connect with my Internet security at the moment.
