Hey Guys bringing a new topic to discuss. Do want dual type Moves in Sun and Moon? Do you think this is bad idea? Do you think this will make this more complicated to play Pokemon? What do you think on this topic let everyone know. Do you have anything else for Pokemon moves? Do you want to see new moves? If yes, what should be they?
What should they do? what is their type? Let us know. These are so many questions lol:).

    Let everyone know your imagination.

I don't see them introducing true dual typed moves due to calculations and alternation effects that would be applied to them. I can see maybe a few moves like Flying Press surfacing if we are lucky since it only calculates half the damage formula once (STAB, item effect and terrain/weather effects)

Giving the move an effect that also deals " --- " Type damage is easier on the programming as all it takes into consideration is the defensive matching of the second type and matches it with the defensive matches of the originating type.

    Like in Flying Press' case.

While it is a Fighting Move, only the Fighting Type will get STAB and items that boost fighting type damage will boost Flying Press, once those calculations are applied, it matches Fighting's and Flying's match ups to the type of the defending Pokemon. The move itself can be preprogrammed to work specific ways against types, mush like how Dry Freeze works since it automatically does Super Effective damage to Water types, but cannot double that damage if changed to Electric type.

Likewise, if changed to Electric, Flying Press now does Electric/Flying Damage and gains STAB bonus if the Pokemon is Electric, will get item bonus if holding an item that boosts electric attack damage, and will get a bonus if used in Electric Terrain. Flying Type and Items don't affect the move at all since it isn't a Flying type attack.

So, I don't see a true dual typed move appearing, but another Flying Press like move isn't out of the question.

I think Ice types need to be buffed with some new moves and an improvement of the Hail weather condition.

Hail should half the damage of Fire type attacks and change Water type attacks to Ice type attacks. That will make Hail crazy.

Here are my ideas for new moves:
    Wind Chill
    Status
    Accuracy: 80%
Effect: Freezes the target Pokemon. Accuracy is 50% in rain or sandstorm.

    Icy Shield
    Status
    Priority: +4
Effect: Protects the Pokemon from any non-status moves for the turn. If Icy Shield blocks a special based attack, the attacker's Special Attack stat drops 1 stage.

    Flash Freeze
    Special
    Power: 60, Accuracy: 100%, Priority: +2

    Ice Wall
    Status
Effect: For five turns, all damage to the party will be reduced by 50%. Will apply with critical hits, but will not stack with light screen and reflect. Pokemon with the Infiltrator ability can bypass the Ice Wall, and Brick Break will remove the effect on the target Pokemon entirely.

    Icicle Barrier
    Status
Effect: An entry hazard that will cause Pokemon in the target's field to receive damage upon entry based on the type effectiveness of Ice against them. Thick Fat will count as a resistance, but will not reduce the damage if the type of Pokemon already has a double resistance to Ice. Icicle Barrier does not affect Pokemon with the ability Magic Guard, and Magic Coat will reflect the move. The hazard can be cleared with Rapid Spin or switching in a Fire type Pokemon, and off both sides with Defog.

Speaking of entry hazards, switching in a Rock type should clear out Stealth Rocks.

80% freeze chance would be broken to hell and back.

Anyway, sticking with the idea of dual-type moves, I'd like to see another few of those this generation. Of course, care would have to be taken to avoid anything taking 8x damage.

80% freeze chance would be broken to hell and back.

There are already a crazy number of cures for Freeze, but maybe they could add one or two more.

Oh, they should also reduce the power of Scald by having Water type attacks cure burn. That should reduce its utility.

I have a feeling we will see a few more considering how with Professor Kukui specialising in Pokemon moves. Flying Press could be considered as the first one so I wouldn't be surprised to see existing moves getting updated too.

Like Blue said, as much I won't like the complications with the type effectiveness it could be interesting to see more dual-typed moves given Kukui's field of study and Flying Press was likely a tease of more dual-typed moves happening in the future.
