I hope it's okay with Mullet if I post a CoTW. Since i've been gone so long I've kinda lost track as to who's week it is.

Volcano Charger
fire spell, produces one mana. costs 4 to cast.
Destroy one of your opponent's creatures power 2000 or less.
After you cast this spell, put it into your mana zone.

A lot more expensive than both Crimson Hammer and Phantom Dragon's Flame, but the fact that's it's a charger makes it see a lot more play. It allows you the potential of playing a six mana card by turn five, and provides the needed mana accel the all powerful RUB decks need. plus with the equally powerful Thrash Crawler, you're capable of reusing the very same spell with no serious mana loss. sounds like a winner to me. I give it a 10/10.

It's not much more expensive. Only two I think that would be sort of more expensive. It's a good card, I like PDF and this about the same, PDF is a Shield Trigger, but this gives you mana, if it costed three it would get a 10/10but I'll give it a 9/10.:D

Of course we do. It seems like the only DM players left on PC are Pogi, Mullet and me. No one else seems interested.

Here are my words on Volcano Charger:

Phantom Dragon's Flame>Crimson Hammer>Aless the Oracle>Volcano Charger

In other words, this one's one of, if not the worst, charger ever. If you need some weenie destruction, try Phantom Dragon's Flame, Crimson Hammer, Tornado Flame, Searing Wave or Spastic Missile. Don't ever try Volcano Charger, not worth any slots in your deck. If you need a good charger, try Slash Charger. If you need mana acceleration, try looking at Nature.

Volcano Charger is the best charger along with Slash, and Corpse. Volcano Charger goes in all control decks.

Volcano should be moved to the top of that list.

Aless roflmao, that has nothing to do with destruction, so that shouldn't even be in the list.:\

Duel Masters is probably the only TCG I'm good at. Yu-Gi-Oh! is great and everything but costs too much money. And since we had a tourney at the local shopping centre everyone who participated got a double starter pack for free. I of course used my own deck ^^.

I hope this thread keeps going. DM is a really fun game :D.

Except for being in card form, selecting attack targets (once they're "tapped"), and ATK & DEF. Yeah, absolutely nothing >.>;

Being in card form is what a TCG is, Selecting attack targets is typical for ANY game (Except for Magic. the only game I know of where you don't attack the opposing monsters) and Duel Masters cards have attack power only.

I have cards but I do not play it (got cards and a deck from a magazine). When I read the card texts it reminds me of Magic, which I play, but Yu-Gi-OH! also do that. It still seems different from YGO though.
About the manga, is that one like the YGO manga? I have read a little Duel Masters, from a magazine, but it must have been number 34 or something, at least it did not seem to be the beginning of it. I did not like it and understood very little because there were no introduction or anything . . . but I do not blame it. Many people also dislikes YGO because the magazines do not release the whole story there either! I read the manga pockets though, it's the best, nothing is left out.

DM is from Wizards of the Cost right? Then it has to be a good card game. It's so sad that they do not release the Pokémon cards any more.

That's because it's made by Wizards of the Coast. If you check out their miniatures games you'll see a similarity in Magic as well.
