No. I don't give cards a perfect ten unless they are broken beyond belief (see the YGO stuff).
Anyway, as I was saying, I've been talking about the MANA OFFSET between the lancer and the paladin balances things out. See the thing is that the paladin takes the blockers right out and is essentially a finisher to begin with. There would be NO NEED for it to be more than a 1-shot if the game ends after he's played. However, the lancer itself would be the only attacker going through as it's played and therefore might not be able to end a game in 1 turn. That's the reasoning for the mana offset and the rarity difference.
Not that my views are the same as yours. I mean, think about it, I just don't look at the game in the same way as you do. Just like how I can't convince you, you won't be able to convince me. I can only explain why my view is as such as you have explained to me your views.
As for Lancer vs. Paladin on the field, it really depends on the situation of the field for me. I can't say "this is my choice" all the time, as you've said, but I can say that each has their own strengths and it just so happens that I feel the paladin has more power to it. Then again, I thought Elf-X was broken as heck. lol
