1950+ ACRE with Dusknoir?
Scratch that.
2462 ACRE with Eelektross.
So yeah, I made an alt today and tried another sucky Pokemon, Eelektross. This team is hyperoffensive, with Eelektross taking care of a few threats (namely Choice Band Terrakion and Politoed).
The team at a glance
A closer look
Failtross (Eelektross) (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 120 HP / 172 Def / 164 Atk / 52 SAtk
Brave Nature
- Wild Charge
- Flamethrower
- Superpower
- Thunder
This eel has no weaknesses and is immune to Earthquake, meaning that with prediction, I can switch into Scarf Landorus-T and force it out. With a bit of prior damage, which is covered by Skarmory's entry hazards, the EVs allow it to survive Terrakion's Choice Band-boosted Close Combat at 100% HP and still gain a number of KOes: it can defeat defensive Politoed, Ferrothorn (if it doesn't rain), Terrakion, Keldeo etc. with its impressive coverage. Thunder is Eelektross's main weapon against rain teams, 2HKOing SubCM Jirachi with a bit of prior damage and OHKOing Gyarados.
SuperSkarm (Skarmory) (M) @ Custap Berry
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Brave Bird
- Taunt
SuperSkarmory is a popular YouTuber, and since this was a hyperoffensive team, I decided to go with Skarmory(yeah, screw Accelgor and Crustle) since I am a SS fan. SuperSkarm was Skarmory's nickname during his Pokemon walkthroughs. Skarmory is an excellent lead with Sturdy and the Custap Berry. Stealth Rock and Spikes are excellent for a hyperoffensive team, and Taunt allows Skarmory to shut down Ferrothorn, Blissey and other walls that think can set up on it. Brave Bird is used so Skarmory is not total Taunt bait.
Hitmontop (Starmie) @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
Starmie is an excellent spinner, probably the second best spinner in OU (nothing can beat Hitmontop). Hydro Pump is very powerful, happens to be boosted by rain, and even those that resist it have to contend with Thunderbolt and Ice Beam, which together form that feared BoltBeam combination that only Magnezone resists, except Magnezone is taken care of by Hydro Pump. Lastly, Rapid Spin is mandatory to this team's success, allowing Kyurem-B to switch in easier and preserving Eelektross's good bulk.
Trollgar (Gengar) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Scary huh? This Gengar is the Sub + 3 Attacks variant. Substitute keeps it safe from Leech Seed, Thunder Wave and Sucker Punch, which Gengar hates. Shadow Ball is powerful when boosted by the Life Orb, and Focus Miss likes to miss, but still takes care of Tyranitar which otherwise would probably be the biggest threat to my team. Hidden Power Fire OHKOes Scizor on the switch or when Gengar is still behind a Sub, as it is ohkoed by Bullet Punch.
loli'mnotblack (Kyurem-Black) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Fusion Bolt
- Ice Beam
With that monstrous bulk and incredible 170 attack stat, Kyurem-B is probably something that should not be OU, even though I want it to stay here :D. Kyurem-B is a very good revenge killer, and Outrage hits everything bar steels for solid damage. However, being locked into that move when steels are still around is often not a good idea, hence why Dragon Claw is used alongside it. Fusion Bolt is Kyurem-B's best option against Steel-types, and it's also a huge threat to some rain threats like Tentacruel. Ice Beam is just for Gliscor and Landorus-T.
Mario, Wario... (Lucario) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- ExtremeSpeed
- Bullet Punch
The MVP of this team. Lucario is a very good Swords Dance sweeper on hyperoffensive teams, and Swords Dance plays straight into its hands. Jellicent and Landorus-T need to be eliminated before Lucario can sweep. Nothing bar Ghosts really wants to take a +2 Close Combat, and even those that do have to be wary of an ExtremeSpeed which gets the jump on Mach Punch and other priority moves. Bullet Punch OHKOes Gengar at +2, which would otherwise easily revenge kill Lucario. It also kills Terrakion and Choice Scarf Tyranitar looking to revenge kill it.
