3rd Gen Eevee Evolution Problem

    I know how to get Umbreon/Espeon, You make Eevee happy in R/S, and voila, you have one of them (depending on the time.)

    My question is: How in the fuzzy do you make them happy? :dead:

    I traded one of my Eevees [lvl. 5] to Ruby, fed it Poke-Blocks (the ones it 'liked'), Raised it about 40 levels, have let it be in trainer battles, let it be first in my party, let it hold various items (Sitrus Berry, Exp. Share, etc...), have never let it faint (No easy job...), and it STILL won't evolve.

    I don't even care which it evolves too, as long as it just evolves.
    And Collesseum (sp?) is out of the question, since I don't even have a GameCube...

    I'll take any advice you can give me!
     
    uhhh.... i dunno. if you have S/G/C then you trade it to that and give it haircuts.... (not very good advise.-.-')

    or maybe it just isnt ready to evole yet. (VERY bad advise. #.#)

    You have to make it battle, but don't let it get that hurt. If you let it hold a Sooth Bell, it will be much faster. What my firend did, is battled "Gabby & TY" over and over, beating them with Kyogre's surf (of course, your Eevee will have to be in 2nd position). That way, the pokemon wins a battle, but doesn't take a hit. Feeding it Vitamins also helps.
     
    well i dont know about r/s, but in gold i gave mine alot of haircuts..
    i know that didnt help much @@ okay.. aside from that, i made it kill many low-level pokemon (lv,2 3 4 etc) and after a while, it evolved.. but.. it'd take alot of patience ._.
    ._. well.. thats some advice.. but its pretty useless i guess.. sorry..
     
    Yeah, but your question was about Ru/Sa.

    There is a lady in Verdanturf Town who will tell you how much your pokemon likes you. That can help keep track of your progress in making the pokemon like you.
     
    Here is some advice....Take your Eevee to the Elete Four and let it fight one battle....My brothers Cleffa evolved in one battle....;.
     
    Well...maybe it has a ahrd time trusting you? I hatched an Eevee and gave it to my sister and it didn't evolve into an Espeon until like level 70. So...have fun?
     
    well to get espone/umberion my brother just gave gave it carbous. then he battled the e4 twice and it elvoleved.
     
    Yeah. That always seems to work. I also gave my Eevee every Rare Candy I found. That worked too.
     
    how to get evee to evolve into umbreon or espeon

    make it love you, then trade it to ruby or sapphire
    the key is as follows
    Espeon:trade to R/S during A.M.
    Umbreon:trade to R/S during P.M.

    MUST trade first, then make it happy. Happiness disappears when you trade.
     
    That's what I thought... but then again, I haven't tried this yet.
     
    here are my tips:
    1. HATCH the Evee on the Ru/Sa cart. Hatched pokemon automatilcly like you some.
    2. give it lots of vitamins and the like
    3. if it gets a status problem, heal it IMIDIATLY.
    4. never let it faint
    5. sooth bell
    6. put it in slot one

    if you have a cheat thing, get infinate rare candy and feed it alot. or just use a pokemod code ::-)

    i HATE happy evolves
     
    Come now, they're not so bad. The really hard ones were where you had to make them evolve before reaching a certain level (for Pokemon Stadium battle eligibility). I think I had some trouble with Cleffa, but it all turned out in the end. Always save before a level up, just in case evolution doesn't occur as early as you wish.

    just give it about 10 carbos then beat the elite 4.

    i did an a little test i got 3 espeons in about one hour by giving it carbos and beating the elite 4.
