OOC: Yeah, anyone who wants to do John can feel free to take it. I mean, I'll take him if no one else wants to; but seeing as I have three to do, I would definitely be happy if someone else wanted to! ^-^
As for who can control them regularly ie. talking, doing minor things around us; anyone can do whatever they want in regards to that.

As we landed in the remains of the great city Goldenrod, I felt a definite sense of forebodding around me. This spot was the poster-child for an abandoned, decayed city, a place that gave many people chills just walking around it.
"This place was one of the last strongholds that the humans had; or so my parents said," I spoke aloud. I jumped off of Lugia's back and looked up at the others.
"Come on, I think I know where to go," I said to them, looking ahead.
Rave jumped off looking a bit apprehensive, "Uh... you sure you know where you're going? I thought you said you didn't remember this place."
I couldn't explain why I felt that way; I just seemed to feel where it was I needed to go. It was weird; there was no denying that.
"Yes, it's just over the old train tracks and the tower over there," I explained, pointing to the two landmarks with my leaf.
