[Script] Emerald Pokedex Script Disappeared

While working through my rom hack, the script that has Birch giving you the Pokedex seems to have disappeared. I'm aware that it's a level script that advance map is unable to find, but I have no clue why the script would randomly disappear from the game. I am able to find it at the offset 0x1FA300, but it never triggers in game. A similar thing happened with the script that triggers when you leave the moving van and the first interaction with Birch in his lab when he allows you to nickname your starter, but I was able to fix the problem by adjusting the level scripts. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you have any script missing, you can just copy it from a vanilla ROM. Though why this is happening, I am not so sure. Are you using A-Map 1.92, or A-Map 1.95?

Sorry, I believe that the explanation might have been a bit unclear. The script itself still exists in the game, but the trigger for the event has disappeared. I'm working on A-Map 1.95.

As I expected. Do not use A-Map 1.95 at all until necessary. It overwrites offsets, and it may be the case in yours. You should use A-Map 1.92 for safer hacking.

Ah gotcha, I didn't know that 1.95 was bugged. Swapped over to 1.92 now. Got wayyy too far to trash all of the text edits and start over, so I just changed how the Pokedex is received. Thanks for the help!

I encountered the same problem once even though I was then using only 1.92 version. So it may not be a problem caused by Advance Map 1.95.

I did mention above that "it may be the case in yours", but as I haven't touched Emerald, I cannot expand on this theory further. Maybe A-Map has a problem with Emerald and it's offsets? Not sure, though...
