Emerald Team

Gardy can get the elemental punches remember.

Here's some Hidden Power info for ya.

So yeah. Also be sure Crobat has a Jolly Nature (and I'd run a CB set with that). That way you can outspeed Alakazam and all of those things...Crobat runs a CB set well with Hidden Power Ground, just some stuff to consider.

Hopefully getting D/P tomorrow because guess. Happy Birthday to me, tomorrow. Yeah, I'm gonna become a teenager. Back onto the topic. Awesome, hatching Beldum's. Can you hatch a shiny pokemon because Shiny Metagross looks awesome. Or are shines just in the wild? Nonetheless no-one has answered my question yet. How do you know what type of HP you've given a Pokemon? Please can somebody answer me.

You can test the Hidden Power out against wild pokemon in-game to see what type it is. Yes, you can hatch them, same rate as wild pokemon. Also, there are no Beldum's Metang's, or Metagross's in the wild. :/

Itachi:I know that already, you can only obtain them through trade, Steven's house and now as I discovered, breeding.

Anti-Pop:Yeah, using that I discovered that my Metagross can currently learn HP Dragon. Can't be bothered calculating Power.

Aragornbird:OK, I'll make sure I do that.

Thanks guys.

If you're using that Metagross set for competitive, then HP Dragon is awesome for Dragonite's switching in to wreck havoc with DD, or Salamence. 'Mence runs the CB set better, though.

Ew at HP Dragon on Meta, CB Meteor Mash hurts a ton more and Ice Punch is superior for dragon slaying anyhow (though not recommended). Metagross runs CB best, the set is in the Compiled Guides thread I linked you to earlier.

Yeah, but Azelf's set was mixed. I'm pretty sure he put MM on it, but yes, CB Set is probably best.

Meh. I'll just copy and paste the set for him:

Metagross @ Choice Band
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Meteor Mash
- Rock Slide

If you run mixed metagross, it will want HP Grass every time to beat its more common counters, especially Swampert. Actually, they are really annoying if Swampert is your Gross counter, and Swampert is extremely common.

I thought Agiligross was the best in the 3rd Gen. O.o;

I can't remember the set, only that it had Agility, Meteor Mash, and Thunderpunch. But I'm not sure on the Item, Nature, EVs, and the fourth move >.<;

EDIT:

Metagross@Leftovers
Adamant
152 HP/252 ATT/104 SPD
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Explosion/Rock Slide
Agility

hoping on transferring them to my Pearl once I defeat the weak5 and then maybe i'll be able to teach them the good moves for the movesets. Metagross already learns agility at lv66 but it wouldn't be able to use agility if it ever came up against a foe such as Swampert or Gyarados. EQ is an OU move.

AgilityGross is pretty outdated unless you have some weird trick up your sleeve. With a SD passer like Celebi it's pretty nasty, but otherwise CB is much more effective usually.
