5th Gen English Release Date Discussion [EU - March 4, US - March 6, AUS - March 10]

March 6th is only good when compared to April 4th. It's still too late. The only reason they haven't released it yet is because of the anime. Most DS games are released everywhere at once, and fans have already been making english patches.

They could have very easily translated by now.

6th March... that might mean somewhere in mid-March for Europeans. If we are lucky, that is.
At least it's not late April like bulbapedia suspected. I'm pretty happy, but I just hope Europe doesn't really get screwed over, like it happened with Platinum... ):

But it's already been announced as March 6th for North America, meaning the rest of the world will be soon after...

I am getting a strong feeling that the Europe release date will actually be the 4th March...

I can't possibly think what could be happening on Friday March 4th that would be special enough to be put in alongside the American Release date.

The only thing that's making me feel otherwise is why there hasn't been an announcement yet for the Europe release if it is the 4th March. I suppose Japanese & American announcements take priority....and then Europe and everywhere else just has to figure it out themselves. :X

March 4th being a Friday seems too much of a coincidence too....it's weird. Time will tell I guess.

The US trailer says it will be released March 6th. Maybe they had their date wrong.

.....Naw, I'm just messin' with you. Please enjoy your stay here. But, GameStop does have a record of making up release dates based on past releases. According to the GameStop I went to, I should have my game no sooner than April 1st..... April 17 was just one of their latest guesstimates and, according to Nintendo, who publishes the game and therefore has the final say, the game will be released in NA on March 6th.

Thank God for that, I don't want to wait another month for these games! I want them NOW!​

As mentioned before, gamestop isn't to be trusted, because they make estimates - going by the fact that they know the games are released around then, just not the exact release date. Due to that, most GameStop's have different release dates everyone thinks is official. However, now that we know it's March 6th, there is a very small chance that the games will be released in Australia/Europe in April, at least, which are the other major English speaking places.

I think they need to update their systems, I was in there 2 days ago buying my son a head set and chat pad for his xbox360 and asked and was told that, but just checked the GS website and it says March 6th, I guess instead of saving for those games later, I need to start now!! :laugh:

That confused me at first. It's not March 2nd, it's March 6th. The date is officially announced by Nintendo and you can see if you check the NA Black and White site.

Has there been any announcement of preorder bonuses (like the keychains when the games were released in Japan)?

I read some where about a keychain, but who knows really!! When I got my Japanese games, I got no keychain then!!

Apparently some French (I think?) site says that Nintendo has announced March 4th as a release date for Europe, but there aren't any sources yet. So that should be taken as speculation, but yeah. Hopefully if it is true, then we'll probably get the Australian date soon too. Here's hoping it's real!

Remember, this is classed as a rumour, but it's still nice to know that most others are also speculating on March 4th as the date.

Pokémon Black & White Release Date - Europe 4th March

Nintendo have confirmed that the European release dates for Pokémon Black & White will infact be 2 days BEFORE the North American Release date on March 4th. This is a first in Pokémon games of Europe releasing the games before US. There is no word on the Austrialian release date currently.
