"Enter Galactic!" Episode Discussion

Wowzers!!! Teeheehee

I think that is the best way to explain this episode.

That is a good point. It seems like the other two teams, Magma and Aqua, were mean themselves. I kinda forgot that. I would really like the writers to revisit the Rockets. Maybe in whatever fillar arc they want to do after Sinnoh. Su? Who knows.

Has anyone seen the 2nd DP legend movie? I dont know if they were in it but since this is there first cameo when the heroes see them, I wonder if they will have anything to do with the third.

I have to say that this was very intresting and then the mention of the Red Chain. I can betcha that Ichi would be happy to hear that they didn't forget about the Red Chain, I think it was him who said something about dropping the Red Chain from the anime storyline, but it seems like Galatic is going to use it and now it is up in the hands of the writers.

Yeah, but they've already been messing around with the game plot, anyway, trying to collect the two Orbs and swiping the meteorites, not to mention this bit with the Spear Key. It would just be nice to see the anime follow with the games for once as far as an evil organization goes, but I guess that's simply wishful thinking by this point. I bet that the Red Chain in the anime won't have as much to do with the three fairies, either.

Oh, and boo.

Teeheehee Well I have to say that I am intrested in how this will all play out in the end. I mean I didn't play the game but really I heard about what happens and really this whole Spear Key and orbs sounds intresting. Something a bit more creative.

On the plus side, they've executed a lot of game canon in D/P, though, yes, I'm not hopeful, either. I'll be actually disappointed this time, as the Galactic higher-ups were written well compared to most game characters. I'm not sure about the Red Chain, if only because the games set up the acquisition of the Chain to be... squicky (yanking it from the chakras of the three fairies), in my opinion.

Boo to what?

5/10

I found this episode really boring, mainly just a repeat of something they've done before.
The writers really need to stop repeating everything. Is it really that hard to think of something new?
Another thing would be the Team Galactic wardrobe/hair. Like WTF?!

I think the best part of this episode was the standoff between Crogunk & Toxicroak, it was rather funny.

Overall, just another crappy filler episode, that does nothing for the overall story line.

I really don't see how this episode is a remake of another episode. I mean the closest episode I can think of was the one with Team Magma and Team Aqua back on Mt. Chimmery but really I think this episode is a bit way different since that episode featured the two teams fighting for it.

Plus, the Mt. Chimney episode was based on an actual game canon event. I would label the meteorites as a facet of the games, but there's no event forcing you to do anything with them. That, and, usually, the in-anime Rival has nothing to do with the criminal organizations (i.e., actually clashing with them), so that also emulates the game. If it was more anime based, the Rival wouldn't be in this episode, that's for sure.

And, personally, I think the Toxicroak is a Shiny, but the eternal debate over it conveys otherwise.

I didn't think it was like another episode either...I think they're waiting for Platinum to come out to do anything with Galectic, seeing as the plot for them appears to be changing a bit and they want to go along with Platinum rather than DP. I was translating one of the shots and Cyrus was saying "A new galexy!" with Palkia and Dialga on screen, so at least their team name makes a little more sense now...well, in the Japanese version, at least. I suppose in the dub, too.

Late Beachy is late.

Overall, I loved it, the face war of frogs was rather funny. :D It was great to see Galactic, and really have that evil team persona compared to the other teams, in my opinion. I know some of you disagree, but they just... sound like they know what they want, how to get it, and how to execute it. I don't know how to word it but they play role pretty darn well. ;D I didn't think of it as just a filler episode, seemed more then that to me, anyway. And Paul's Electabuzz actually gave me a good laugh. XD Reji's a neat guy as well.

I agree, they'd probably want to dive deeper when Platinum comes out. It'd simply be a good marketing move as well. Could even reignite some people that have lost interest. Er... not saying it's not interesting so far, but you know, the release of a sequel could interest more people to see the plot twists and such, or at least that's how I think of it. *shrug* Now I'm just rambling.

On the shiny Toxicroak deal, I thought it was too. ;o

That is very intresting. I mean that would explain so much about why Sinnoh is being dragged out SO much and why Team Galactic hasn't been feature much so far in comparison to Magma and Aqua. I be intrested to see where this goes once Platinum comes out. Su. I wonder if the writers already know what is going on. Teeheehee Ash and gang in Torn World? Su? Teeheehee

As in the Shiny Toxicroak. Another Toxicroak appears in Episode 554: Hearthome Collection! Road to Becoming A Pokemon Stylist! but I can't tell if it is a shiny. Su.

If you're correct, this changes everything. At least, with A/M, their overall plot structure wasn't altered by much, except for splitting for the difference on the game events. The only real deviation was swapping Lance for Wallace, but, otherwise, the story was no different from the game (more or less). Of course, A/M's story was well underway whenever Emerald was being launched, anyway (I believe).

By stalling Galactic for so long and the Platinum mandate, one has to wonder what the storyline would have been like, without those factors.

Yeah, I was translating this shot and the first line is "atarashii ginga wo!" (I translated the 2nd line into romaji but I don't know what it means.) "atarashii" is "new", "ginga" of course is galexy and "wo" is just a subject marker. The 2nd line didn't have "dan" in so I don't think they're talking about the team.

But whether they're going by the DP storyline or not, they could still have Galectic doing stuff like taking over the lakes and blowing up the city...unless the story is changing that much so the 3 elf legendaries are going to have a different story? But they mentioned the Red Chain, I think? I really don't know what they're going to do with Galectic in the anime, maybe they are just ignoring them to play safe for Platinum's release?

I think the X-factor may be the new cop character that will pursue the Galactics (any word if he's tied with the Global Police?). If they've done it with Lance and Team Rocket/Aqua/Magma, then having such a character wouldn't be out of line, at all. The twist will be "how much will Giratina be involved?"

You're probably right -- they've been known to play it to the cautious side, as with Juan and BF vs their proper game canon. Shifty eyes.

The episode had Toxicroak in it.
Honestly, what more do you need?

I swear to God, I hope Brock's Croagunk evolves. Toxicroak is so awesome. =D

Having Electabuzz and Pikachu work together was cool; but honestly, even ingame, I've never seen so many bloody Golbat. :S

Nice to have a Galactic episode,

+
-The Toxicroack Vs Craogunk face off was cool
-Brock nearly getting hit (I don't mean it like that) It was nice to see Dawn and Ash notice and care about Brock for once, I swear sometimes he could get mangled and no-one would ever notice
-Reggie in general, he's a nice guy even if Paul isn't
-TR getting in the way xD

-
-Those close ups of Toxicroak's face freaked the hell out of me
-Maylene cropping up again, it annoys me because she is basically using Misty's voice
-Why was Staravia not used against Toxicroak?
-There was too much "stand off" for me, lots of time when nothing happened =/

Ooooh, I liked this episode. We finally get to see Team Galatic!! But anyway, the Toxicroak and Croagunk thing confused me. What, are they old rivals? :\ And if you ask me, Saturn should sound more like a teen and not a 30 yr old.
