Espeon Happiness?

I know that in order to evolve Eevee to Espeon you make it happy in the daytime. But how do you "make it happy"? Do you feed it something?

Poffins help and Cabros and hp ups and things like that

you have it ALWAYS in the team, never making him faint, giving her pokeblocks and that stuff.. don't give him the items you can buy in lavaridge town! Y'know, the bitter root and that stuff, 'cause it taists awful. If you're playing in johto, go to the subway and go to the stylist. If you're in kanto (new version), go to blue's sister and make her to clean the pokemon up.

Never ever let it faint. Also use lots of items like iron, protein, potions etc. Give it an item to hold. Soothe bell increases happiness so let it hold that. Use it all the time. I find them quite easy to envolve if you just use it and nothing else for a couple of towns.
