Eternal Nightmare - [PG-16]

Are you good at hide and seek? the Joltik laughed in that thought, and Lucifer's eyes narrowed. Despite Julie's begging, that stupid taunt got on his nerves and he clenched his fists. Finding people was the easiest task for him, as he could remember the Joltik's Aura. He knelt down on the floor, one hand touching the ground. At night, Aura Searching was even easier, there was no light to interfere. He traced the yellow aura, and stopped when he saw another trash can, an obvious hiding place.

"Lucifer!Don't attack him!" Julie cried, but Lucifer shook his head. The Joltik had to play with him, so might as well join the fun. The Joltik didn't know he was here since he was walking stealthily. A large ball of red Aura was formed in his both hands, stronger and brighter than before, then without warning he blasted the bin into bits...
 
With extremespeed, Silver instantly caught Volk and returned him to Julie, just as the blasts hit. He looked down at the Joltic and shuddered.

Ugh, spiders...

Silver felt his back fur rise. He really didn't like spiders. But he protected this one from Lucifer, regardless.

"Brother, watch it!!"

Silver shouted with a guilt-bringing tone. He shuddered again and placed Volk on the ground, held Julie, and frowned at Lucifer.

"You can't just go around blasting everyone like that!!"

He looked down at Volk.

"And you really shouldn't taunt him, that's suicide..."

He sighed and began to just cuddle with Julie.

Silver shouted with a guilt-bringing tone. He shuddered again and placed Volk on the ground, held Julie, and frowned at Lucifer.

"You can't just go around blasting everyone like that!!" he cried.

Lucifer growled as he saved the little brat, but he was a little surprised. Silver hated spiders but he saved him anyway. Sometimes he just couldn't understand his brother at all, he helped people even though if he had to sacrifice or pay a price.

Lucifer wanted to snatch the little spider and break his little spider neck so badly, but stopped himself from doing so....not with all the spectators...when Silver told the Joltik not to taunt Lucifer, Lucifer grinned a little. That's right, he thought, his arms crossed.

Lucifer looked at the bin, it was blasted into bits. If Silver didn't say that little pest he was dead by now. Lucifer absolutely had the guts to kill, and that's what made him scarier than anyone else. Now the whole place quieted down since there was no fighting anymore, and Lucifer calmed down a little. He looked at the Darkrai's Castle, glowing brightly in the night. What was he thinking?! Having the time of his life while letting his citizens suffer. The population of the whole city was reduced to a half and still, there was nothing they could do. They couldn't rally or recruit anyone. They were scared, or too tired to go to the Castle.

Everything happened so fast, Volk was saved by Silver from the guy which he found out was actually Lucifer which also meant that he was with them, according to Julie's note. Volk sighed with relief as he was placed onto the ground. He somewhat learnt his lesson not to get on the bad side of Lucifer, since that guy was kinda too edgy for his liking.

The bin he was in was reduced to nothing and now the streets of Paranoia City was very quiet, as it was before he awaken from his sleep. Volk was frowned at the castle of....you know who and sat on the floor, facing everyone with an expectant look like they knew something.

(OOC: Ok, what now? So sad that Pelipper's flown away, but we managed to slow down quite a bit. Where else is everyone? Are we all here??)
 
Cain retreated into the shadows, before realizing he had just ran away from his own home, not to mention he had just ran away from a fight. Of course, it was the better move to do. There were too many Pokemon there, too many for him to take on. Cain decided to see if that large group was still at his house, and decided to go back. He snuck through the shadows, his dark coat blending with the darkness. He recalled they were planning to go to Darkrai's castle.

Hmm...that might not be a bad idea. Cain reached his house, apparently the group had started moving away, so he went into his house to grab some essentials, before deciding to make his way to Darkrai's castle as well. There may be some electricity here, but he was uncertain how long it would last. Cain headed back to his house.
 
Julie smiled at Silver.

"Thank you Silver."Julie said,refering to Silver saving Volk."Volk again,are you coming with us?"

Julie sighed.

"Oh and thanks Lucifer,I have to go back to Cain's house to recharge it in a week.So I get the chance of being murdered,fuuun."Julie said,then smacked a paw over my mouth."I did not mean to say that outloud...."

She looked at Silver.

"Don't let Lucifer kill me....I think I'd rather take my chances with Cain then be killed by Lucifer right now..."

(Darkrai actually HAS that kind of power xD. in the past, when bad people said his name, they were cursed into a deep sleep, full of nightmares.)

Lucifer growled as he heard Julie's words, clenching his fists, his eyes glowing with anger. At first his hands started to glow red, charged with aura, but then he stopped himself. He was Silver's mate, and if he did anything bad to her, Silver wasn't going to let him get away with it. But then, he won 90% of the fights, so even if he hurted Julie Silver couldn't do anything about it.

But he sighed and looked at the ground, he didn't want to hurt her, or his brother's feelings. Then he did something he didn't expect himself to do. He slapped himself on the face with a loud 'smack', the smack echoing around the city, leaving a red mark on his face.

Lucifer, Lucario of the Dark, you're losing it. A voice reminded himself, and it sounded like his own instincts, You're heart is affected by your kind brother. Everytime you attack, you didn't use your full power. They are changing you, Lucifer, do not let that happen.

The voice was right, he wasn't going to let them change his personality, but he didn't attack. He let her go, just this once. But if she said something like that again he was going to do something far worse than he did to the Joltik...
 
Julie jumped with how scared she was at the moment when she heard the smack Lucifer did to himself.Maybe dating Silver wasn't such a good idea,Lucifer seemed to hate her.Julie walked to the side of Silver furtest from Lucifer and turned her head to the side,and a few tears fell from her eyes.She didn't want them to see her crying,but she was becoming scarder that Lucifer was just going to come and murder her in her nightmareful sleep one of these nights.She dried her eyes and looked back at Silver.
 
Silver frowned and stared at her, knowing when she cries even when she hides it. He was a bit confused about Lucifer slapping himself. He seemed confused...

Silver lightly kissed Julie's cheek and held her.

"I promise he won't hurt me... I'll never forgive him if he even tries... He says he 'wins' most of our fights... He's just acting tough..."

His voice dropped to a whisper as he added,

"The only reason he wins is because he takes advantage of my mercy... When I have him pinned and defeated, I don't deal a 'death-blow', so he just does his death-blow to me... He does not really give mercy to anyone..."
 
Saphyre sighed a sigh of relief as Volk was saved. She didn't understand why Lucifer had to attack everybody. Saphyre jumped when she heard Lucifer slap himself. She looked at him, a confused look on her face. Why had he just slapped himself? What was going on in his head?

(Sorry its short. That's all I can do. Also, Arura its not just Silver. Myself and Miley810 are just at fault.)

"I heard that, brother." Lucifer walked towards his Lucario brother and raised an eyebrow, "If you really want to comfort someone, you can start by saying something real, not by lying, brother. Your speed is slightly higher than mine, but my reflexes are better than yours, so I am able to counter-attack when you use Extremespeed."

When he turned, he saw a cubone looking at him with confused eyes, but he looked away and didn't ask, he didn't want to fight all day. What he wanted to do, was to solve the problem (fighting Darkrai included). He didn't know why Darkrai was doing this to them, making the City a total stand-still, letting the citizens die everyday, and not doing anything about it.

But he knew the danger, going alone was suicide, even a strong fighter was going to die if he had to fight Darkrai one on one. He need a team. He looked at Silver in the eyes, his thoughts sent into his brain, every detail, and shot him a glance that meant You up for it?
 
Cain watched the group, they were conversing about going to Darkrai's castle. Cain was no fool. He was strong individually, but he couldn't face off against him alone. He needed to go in a group, and even thought these ones weren't his type, he knows at least one of them is strong. Cain stepped out.

"If you're looking for Pokemon to go to Darkrai's castle, sign me up. I may have fought you before, but I acknowledge your strength as a fighter. We should team up and see what's going on with this Darkrai."

Cain awaited their response, before decided to go back to his house to gather supplies. "Come see me if you think its worth it."
 
Saphye bit her lip as Lucifer looked at her. She had seen him fight and she didn't want to fight him. Saphyre knew she'd lose, Lucifer wasn't merciful. She sighed a breath of relief when he looked away from her.

When Cain spoke, Saphyre jumped a little. She hadn't expected him to come back. What would Lucifer do? Would he attack him? But Cain wanted to travel with them to Darkrai's castle. Saphyre thought he'd be a good addition.

"I say let him come." She said looking at the other Pokemon.
 
Silver smirked.

"I'd tell you I've been holding back, but I wouldn't wanna hurt your pride..."

Silver teased, but returned serious.

"If you want my opinion, we're perfectly even. You better not even dare tell me you have better reflexes again..."

He smirked, but he meant it. He was like a ninja for speed, a sniper for accuracy, and an archer for reflex. Brother wasn't quite as fast, but Lucifer was the powerhouse. His attacks could almost double Silver's power. But Silver was more skillful, with techniques like 'using the opponent's power against them', he also knew the exact spots to hit, he is capable of hitting just the right spots to make a pokemon pass out instantly. Lucifer, on the other hand, would rather blow his opponents to ashes without second thought. But Silver never doubted Lucifer in a battle; He's won some and lost some. Silver was always underestimated, but that onky made it easier, because he could surprise his enemies that way. He didn't stop to listen to any further comment from Lucifer on that subject, he instead held Julie closer to him, placing his forehead against hers and smiling.

"So brother, did you hurt yourself in confusion?"

Silver chuckled a little, referencing how Lucifer smacked himself. Silver had an inocent smile, he knew he was the only one who could tease Lucifer without being pulverized.
 
"So brother, did you hurt yourself in confusion?" Silver asked, with an innocent smile on his Lucario face, and Lucifer snorted.

Silver was right about one thing though, Lucifer saw him holding back once in a fight, but only once. Lucifer always wanted to improve his speed, since it was the best fighting tactic, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't beat his brother when it came to speed. So he had to win his brother some other way - power. It was the only thing he had, and that made him rather sad, his eyes were showing it in front of the others. He was always envious of his brother's speed, the one thing he couldn't have or master. He sighed, shaking his head, letting his brother tease him as he pleased.

"If you're looking for Pokemon to go to Darkrai's castle, sign me up. I may have fought you before, but I acknowledge your strength as a fighter. We should team up and see what's going on with this Darkrai." The Houndoom stepped out and gave his little speech, then turned away.

"I agree." Lucifer told him as he turned, "If we don't...game over for all of us."
 
Silver shook his head frustratedly.

"Why is it that everyone assumes Darkrai is just leaving us to die!? If you ask me, he would never do something like that. Think about it. Would he have any reason to blow up his own statue?? What would benefit him from everyone dying, having nightmares or losing sleep? I think someone may have done something to him... You realize he isn't the only legendary... In fact most of the legends outrank him by quite a bit..."

Legendaries. Many pokemon don't believe in them, but Silver does. He knew one before. Mew, when Silver was just a little Riolu, would always make the best playmate. He looked at Lucifer, wondering if he remembered Mew. Silver also was pretty sure he'd seen Celebi once, when he and Lucifer were having one of their childhood 'adventures' in a forest. He smiled at his memories, then wondered where Mew was now. Silver hadn't played in years, and he missed it, unless you count sparring with Lucifer as 'playing'...
 
Julie pulled Silver fallowing Cain.She watched him go inside.She held Silvers paw where he wouldn't leave.

"I'm sorry if you hate him but we need someone with his strength on our side to come with us incase they try to kill us.I think all three of you have the equal amount of fighting skills,and another one with the fighting skills of you and Lucifer would help our chances of keeping our lives."Julie said to Silver but she wouldn't look at Silver.

She had a feeling Silver wanted to do something bad to Cain,but she wouldn't let it happen,she hated fighting.She was pretty good at fighting,but not as good as the Lucario brothers and Cain.She hoped Lucifer wouldn't attack Cain again,and hoped Silver wouldn't attack Cain.And God help her if Cain gets on her bad side because she'd attack him and she'd end up dead,elese both Silver and Lucifer had something to do about it.

Lucifer nodded. He had a point. Why did he destroy his own statue, and let his beloved citizens die like this? Silver looked at Lucifer, and Lucifer could see that he was thinking of his childhood memories. Yes, Mew was a fun legendary to be with, but when he thought about Celebi, Lucifer frowned. He was pretty sure that was a burmy or something, but he shrugged. Lucifer hadn't played, or had fun in years too, and wondered if he could sit with his brother and play sometimes, but quickly shook that thought away. He's grown up now and 'playing' wasn't on his list anymore.

"Then if something bad happened to Darkrai, we should help him." Lucifer spoke, and nearly puked. Did he just say 'help'? Oh god, they were really affecting him.
 
Julie turned to Lucifer and nodded.

"I wasn't saying he was the cause of all of this,but in case something happens at that castle...."Julie said.

Julie bit her lip.She wouldn't be able to bare it if Silver died,and she wouldn't be able to stand the pain Silver would be in if Lucifer died.Maybe it would be best if one of them died at the castle it be her.
 
Silver, dragged into Cain's house by Julie (literally dragged, she just grabbed his paw and pulled him in), sighed. It was true, he disliked Cain, but he had no intention of fighting. Didn't Julie know better than to think he would do something like that? Silver disagreed that all three were equals. The brothers were, but he figured they were, individually, still stronger than him. Silver shrugged it away. He does not underestimate opponents, and he honestly didn't really care right now. But if he ever tried to hurt Julie... Silver looked a bit surprised when Lucifer agreed to helping Darkrai.

That is waaay out of character...

Silver seemed to still cling to his childhood memories. He loved playing days on end with Mew, and going on adventures everywhere with Lucifer. They always found neat stuff on their adventures too...

Silver snapped out of his thoughts. They were in the present now. He always considered asking Lucifer to play with him again, like old times, but considered Lucifer's response to be 'we are far too old for playing'... He frowned. Playing was fun at any age. He wished he was still a Riolu sometimes. He sighed and clung to Julie, smiling. Anywhere was perfect if she was there with him... He kissed her cheek and smiled. He whispered in her ear.

"I love you Julie..."

Did he have a reason to say it so randomly? No. Did he have to have a reason? Of course not! He loved her always, and wanted her to remember that forever...
