Eternal Nightmare - [PG-16]

Julie turned to Silver.

"I love you too Silver."She whispered back.

She would protect Silver if they were attacked at the castle.She knew that the one thing that would crush Lucifer is if Silver got killed.She hugged Silver tightly.
 
Lucifer watched as Julie hugged Silver tightly and listened to their 'i love you's. He had never said that phrase to anyone, not even his brother, or his parents. Silver looked surprised when Lucifer said he was going to help Darkrai, and honestly, Lucifer was surprised himself.

Lucifer sat on a bench and looked up into the sky, looking at the bright full moon shining above him. Lucifer did have fun when he was a child, especially when he was playing with his great brother Silver. They had many great memories when they played together, discovering this and that. Lucifer wanted to go back to those happy times, so they could play again, having fun like brothers should.

But now there were two things stopping him. One, his personality, he didn't want to play anymore childish games. Two, and most importantly, he didn't dare. People feared him, and he liked that feeling, he was afraid that if he played with his brother, people wouldn't be afriad of him anymore. He liked the power he had now, and the fear he gave people, so he just couldn't play anymore...but if they're alone...maybe.

Silver, Julie, the Houndoom's in the team right now, but they needed more.
 
Volk replied to a question directed at him, "Uh...Ok! I'll go with your." He grinned and stared at everyone while playing with his static. He heard some romantic conversations and whispers and he noticed that the two Lucario brothers were deep in thought as if they were communicating to each other through telepathy. It was very quiet.

"I wonder what's in the castle. Will HE help us?" The Joltik looked up suddenly. It was just a casual free talk. He spied seams of sunlight flowing from the horizon as a increasing speck of light gradually grew into a magnificent sphere of solar energy.

Lucifer looked at the Joltik he fought with earlier, and frowned. He was going with them, even though they fought each other before. Lucifer shrugged, he could use a web-spinner like him, so he didn't say anything. But if he taunted him one more time....

He looked at the sinister-looking castle, glowing brightly in the dark, surrounded by yellow aura, and sighed. Something was definitely wrong. He didn't know what, but the castle, and the lights were rather strange. And the statue wouldn't explode into bits by itself.

The atmosphere was tense, and nobody said a word. Lucifer glanced at the Joltik, then Silver and Julie standing closely together. Those Lovebirds. Then turned to the cubone, which didn't say much. He wanted to ask the cubone if she wanted to come and help, but he didn't want to do that out loud. Heavens no, if he did, Silver was going to tease him again. There was always telepathy, and if Silver didn't focus on listening to him, he couldn't hear it. Might as well give it a try.

He turned to the Cubone, looking into her eyes, so Silver and the others couldn't see him in this angle. He closed his eyes and lowered his head, sending a signal - a question into her mind. It took him a minute to think of the question, since he didn't know how to do it.

I see you've heard everything. I'm Lucifer, and we'll need a strong cubone like you. Want to come?

Lucifer quickly opened his eyes and shook his head. He was being a little too friendly, to his opinion, but if he was in his original self, he was going to scare her away. The Cubone looked friendly, and didn't look like someone HE would send to spy on them. But there was still this possibility, so he had his doubts. But right now he pushed the thoughts away and sighed.

He shook his head again, this friendly stuff was really affecting him, he wasn't half as scary as he was a week ago, so he didn't like to stay around the hooligans. He jumped onto a nearby apple tree, and looked down at the Cubone, waiting for her answer.

Silver, Julie, Volk, Cain, the Cubone, if she joins, me. We need more. Maybe two more.

Silver intercepted the question Lucifer sent, and smirked.

Brother, you're being awfully different lately...

He still held on to Julie, looking at their small group. Silver looked at the oddly lit castle.

Don't worry Darkrai, we're going to help...

He looked a tad worried. How would they face a legendary who could single-handedly bring down Darkrai? Lucifer and Silver were strong, but would that be enough? Certainly not. He looked at the group, and sighed.

We have numbers... I hope it will be enough...
 
"Maybe we should go ask Abadura and Sparky if they want to come with us to the castle?"Julie asked.

She looked at Silver,then Lucifer.Lucifer seemed to really dislike her,so she turned her head towards her head ground.She tightened her grip on Silver's paw to show him she was feeling uncompterable.She bit her lip where she wouldn't say anything.There was a silence and it started creeping her out,but she still kept her head down.
 
Saphyre was looking at Silver and Julie. They were so cute together, perfect for each other. Then she looked at Volk, as he volueentered to go with them. Saphyre wasn't too fond of the idea of letting him come. However, he really wanted to and it wouldn't be right to tell him he couldn't... Saphyre sighed softly, getting out of her thoughts.

She practically jumped out of her skin when she heard Lucifier's 'voice' in her head. Shaphyre glanced at Lucifier and watched him climb a tree. She noticed he was staring at him. Saphyre looked away, she didn't know if he could read her thoughts. However, she hoped he could. Since he had plainly hid his question from the others. Lucifer was being different then his usual self. Sahyre hadn't thought there was a good bone in his body, okay maybe a small one for his brother. That was all.

Saphyre concentrated her mind on Lucifer as she answered. Yes, I have. Nice to meet you, Lucifer. I'm Saphyre. Yes, I want to go to Darkrai's castle with you guys. I want to know what's going on... I just hope I can live up to your expectations. Saphyre knew she was strong. However, she wasn't sure if Lucifer would call her power, strong. Or if it would be strong enough. Though, she'd fight to save any one of them. Even though they had just met.

Saphyre looked at Julie she looked sad. I wonder why... Saphyre thought. She didn't know the two Pokemon Julie named, since she kept to herself mostly. However, Saphyre was sure they were good Pokemon, since they knew Julie. And Julie was a good person.

Yes, I have. Nice to meet you, Lucifer. I'm Saphyre. Yes, I want to go to Darkrai's castle with you guys. I want to know what's going on... I just hope I can live up to your expectations. The Cubone, Saphyre, replied, using her mind.

Lucifer grinned, she knew what she was doing. People tended to answer out loud, but they only had to think of the answer, and Lucifer could receive it, easy as that. Lucifer grabbed an apple from the tree and threw it to the Cubone as a welcome gift. Wait, why did he do that? Jeez, he was getting nice....he couldn't let that happen.

You're in, Saphyre, you'll be a great addition to the team. Here. The apple landed right onto her palm, and Lucifer jumped off the tree again, shaking his head. What was happening to him? Why was he being nice to people? He didn't know if what he did was right, but he didn't like that AT ALL. Lucifer walked towards his brother, Silver and whispered to his ear, "I'll be right back, brother."

Without waiting for a reply he ran towards the public restroom and looked at himself with the mirror. There was nothing wrong with his appearance. His red eyes, his long black appendages behind his ears, his spikes, his snout-like nose. Everything looked the same, nothing weird at all. He tilted his head and his eyes squinted to make sure, but there was nothing wrong with him.

Lucifer turned on the water tap and washed his face again and again with the running water, confused and lost. What was happening to him was coming from the inside. He felt...kindness, something he had never felt before. But he didn't want to feel this tingly but warm feeling, he didn't want people to take advantage of him, he wanted people to fear him, to respect him. He growled at himself, facing the mirror and with one punch, broke the mirror into shards of glass.

"What the Flygon is happening to me..." Lucifer spoke, his paws covering his sad, a little watery eyes.
 
(I looked at the wrong rp before I posted that XD)

"I don't know who we should go to actually...."Julie said.

She became dead quiet.She accednetly fell asleep.She suddenly jerks sceaming.

"Arecus dammit!"She screamed.

She got so frustrated over not being able to sleep she accadently burnt the ground with a static attack she didn't mean to use.

"Grah..."She said under her breath.
 
Silver ignored his brother's command and followed him in shortly after.

"Brother, nothing's wrong with you..."

Silver said as he entered. He had caught Lucifer's thoughts, sensing his distress. Silver walked up and hugged his brother, who oddly enough, looked about to cry.

"I know what you're like, brother, more than anyone. You don't gain respect from beating people and scaring them. Well, you do... But that's not the only way. I don't know what made you like this. Don't you remember when we were kids? You were nice, and not just to me. But now..."

Silver slowly released the hug.

"I don't know... I miss the old Lucifer..."

Silver sighed and walked out of the restroom, back to Julie and sat, legs crossed, fists pointed together, eyes closed. His meditative stance. But for his brother's sake, he didn't tell anyone what he saw. Lucifer's tears. He hadn't seen Lucifer cry since mother and fath..... Silver shook the thought. Mother and father didn't matter now. They were gone. It didn't even matter, they never took care of the brothers when they were around... Lucifer had gained his memory a year before Silver did, despite only being 3 days different. Lucifer remembered them, Silver didn't, only knew them by pictures. Silver shook his head. Meditating requires emptying the mind, not flooding it. He let his mind go blank...
 
By now Saphyre was use to having Lucifer's voice in her head so she didn't jump when she heard him. Saphyre looked up at him, smiling a little. Thank you. I'm glad to be part of the team. She hadn't expected him to throw her an apple so she almost dropped it. However, she caught it. "Thank you." Spahyre said and looked back at him but he was racing towards the restroom. I wonder what's wrong... Saphyre thought to herself, watching him.

Then she seen Julie shock the ground out of angry. She had fallen asleep. Saphyre quickly walked over to Julie and put an arm around her. They didn't know each other well. However, they had something in common. They both shared the nightmare curse. And she knew how she hated it. Spahyre loosely hugged her. "We are going to get the the bottom of it." She said in a soft tone. Then when Silver came back she quickly pulled her arm away so he could cuddle Julie. She glanced in the direction that Lucifer had went..
 
Silver, in his meditation, after skipping a week of sleep, passed out.

Silver wailed in terror as he lost all ability to move, he could only watch. Dusknoir dragged out two pokemon, who were beaten and bloody. Silver wanted to cry out but knew no one would hear him. It was Lucifer and Julie, both beaten half to death. Silver cried and begged.

"Please!! D-don't hurt them!! No more!!!"

Silver wanted to go run and save them, but couldn't move at all. He was horrified as Dusknoir picked up a dark scythe and held it above his head.

"N-no!! Don't do it!!!"

Dusknoir swung down the scythe straight into Lucifer and Julie, ending them.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

Silver awoke and began to tremble. He was scared now, he had to check. Julie was right beside him. He clutched her tightly, then looked around wildly.

Where's brother!?
 
"I know what you're like, brother, more than anyone. You don't gain respect from beating people and scaring them. Well, you do... But that's not the only way. I don't know what made you like this. Don't you remember when we were kids? You were nice, and not just to me. But now..."

Lucifer rolled his eyes. Silver caught his thoughts again, well, Silver liked interfering so he couldn't do anything about it. He could lock his thoughts so people couldn't read it, but he didn't intend to do so. He listened to his brother's words. They made sence, but right now he couldn't go back anymore. Plus a Lucario with this kind of colour? Made for something bad, he thought.

Lucifer was about to reply, but Silver sat down and started meditating, so Lucifer decided not to bother him and exited the restroom. Alone once again, he roamed around the city to search a place he could sit and think quietly. The group wasn't going anywhere so he had some time.

He walked to a rather quiet area in the City, full of dark alleys and paths. Curious, he walked into the alleys in search of a quiet meditating place. He was looking at somewhere else when he suddenly bumped into someone. Alert, he jumped back and looked at the Pokemon he bumped into. It was a Kirlia, and before he bumped into her she was looking at the group from the alley.
 
Lucifer waited for her to say something. This time he wanted to talk first before fighting.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" She said in a serious tone, breaking the silence.

Lucifer blinked when she asked that. They bumped into each other so it wasn't all his fault. He looked at the Kirlia, she was rather different than the others, and her eyes glowed beautifully in a bright purplish colour.

"You expect me to answer that when I don't even know who you are?!" Lucifer repelled, looking at her purple eyes, "I was just roaming around town, that's all you need to know."

Miraculously he didn't want to attack, he wanted to sort things out, for the first time in his life.
 
Cain was prepared to finally move out. He walked out of his house. He saw closeby a motley group of Pokemon. He recognized some of them as the ones from before.

This is the group that I'm traveling with. Pathetic. He thought to himself. He walked towards them, silent for a minute. Well, I might as well make the best of this. He stopped right in front of them and observed them all. Cain finally spoke.

"So you all are going to Darkrai's castle? I can't say I'm impressed. You claim to be fighters? Where is the Lucario from before? He was a tough warrior. You all seem less adequate."

Cain snarled at them. He sniffed around and paced in a few circles. He looked around the town and back at the Pokemon.
He then began to walk down the streets, ignoring the other Pokemon. He approached the Lucario from before. For a moment, he was silent..
 
Xandra. Lucifer thought, smiling only a little, A nice name, and it fits her pretty well. When she said she was roaming as well, Lucifer could tell that she was lying, as her invisible aura changed a little in colour as she said it. But Lucifer didn't want to pry so he pushed away his question for now and focused on introducing himself.

"Lucifer." the black Lucario answered shortly, nodding at her slowly. He was about to say some more when his ears twitched and quickly turned. He saw a Houndoom looking at them both, and his eyes narrowed. It was the Houndoom he fought against earlier, and what was he doing here?

"What are you doing here." Lucifer growled and faced the Houndoom, "Spying on us?"
 
Cain spoke to the Lucario, observing that he was with someone. He snarled at him.

"Don't flatter yourself, Lucario. You're not worth spying on. But if I am going with you, I must protest on all the other ones you're bringing. They don't seem very qualified."

Cain looked at the other one with the Lucario. "Is this one among your pack as well? She doesn't seem all that impressive. You should pick your allies more carefully, or with a little more effort in strength, like myself."
 
Lucifer grinned a bit as she said nice name, but the 'it suits you' part was a little obvious so he shrugged, facing the Houndoom again.

"Don't flatter yourself, Lucario. You're not worth spying on. But if I am going with you, I must protest on all the other ones you're bringing. They don't seem very qualified." The other Pokemon looked at her.. "Is this one among your pack as well? She doesn't seem all that impressive. You should pick your allies more carefully, or with a little more effort in strength, like myself." The Houndoom replied.

Apparently the Houndoom was stupid as hell, as now there were two Pokemon that wanted to hit him now.

"Watch your mouth, Houndoom." Lucifer growled as a yellow bone sprang from his hands, glowing in the dark like a light saber, "Bad time to pick a fight."

Lucifer had much more confident this time, since the Kirlia, Xandra was backing him up.
 
Cain noticed the other one with the Lucario also revved up. Cain laughed a bit.

"You've got some bark in you! I like that, but do you have some bite in your bark, I wonder? Anyways, I'm not here to fight, I was just checking when we will be leaving. I want to head out as soon as possible before things become even worse here. Who knows? We may not have seen the worst of it."

He paused, looking over both of them. "By the way, my name is Cain, as we will be traveling together, I assume you may need to know my name. What are you names? You do have names, right?"

Cain looked at both of them, in an apparent angry expression, but it wasn't anger. It was how his normal face looks.

Lucifer looked at Xandra to see if she was offended, then relaxed a little as he said he wasn't going to fight, but his guard was still up. Apparently she wasn't offended and was pretty polite, showing some respect. He placed his hands together and the yellow bone of aura disappeared in thin air. Apparently they didn't have to fight again. He glanced at the Kirlia again, didn't know why he did that, but then he glanced again. He rolled his eyes and gave himself a large facepalm. He had GOT to stop looking at her like that. Though he couldn't.

The Houndoom said his name was Cain, but Lucifer repelled, "You'll know my name pretty soon. If nothing wrong happens, we'll need one more with us (Donas), then we can go."

Lucifer looked at Xandra (again), then looked at Cain, then back to Xandra, "Shouldn't we go back to the group? And Xandra, you coming with us?"
