Experiments [PG-13]

She thought he might not want her to answer, because after a minute he didn't say anything else. Although, she answered anyway, "I said, 'everyone needs a high when they're low.' it's like. . . when you're feeling down, there's usually something, or someone, who can bring you back up, mood wise." by now she had spun around. She was walking backwards, facing Drake, and smiling.

Even though she was backwards, she knew perfectly well where she was going. It wasn't that hard, when you can hear. She had turned her music off by now, stuffing it in her pocket, but she didn't turn back around. She preferred walking this way, it was entertaining.
 
Drake looked at her for a moment as she walked backwards. What was she doing? Why do you keep smiling at me?

Drake looked away, trying not to make contact with her eyes, his face was a bit red. He didn't understand her one bit. "What are you doing?" He asked, pondering himself what compelled her to walk backwards. Did it help her hear better? Perhaps its a relaxing strategy?
 
"I'm entertaining myself." she stated simply, shrugging. "It doesn't effect my abilities any. I guess I'm finding a way to not be so down in the dumps." there, she said it. She was sad, but it didn't really matter. She clasped her hands behind her back and looked up at the sky.

When she looked back at Drake, she smiled for a minute, then she gave him a curious look.
 
When Luphen woke up, first thing he did was get back to training."I must be as strong as I can be!" He thought to him self as he trained. He trained for a few hours before he decided to go on his board looking for Drake."Me and him need to talk." He thought.

Oh...almost forgot...

Eric floated beck inside and got some rubber gloves from his drawer. He put them on and then headed back outside, standing on the roof with the pipe in his left hand.

That way...If the pipe gets electrified...I can still use it...God bless isolating materials...

He ducked and watched around, trying to see if anyone was coming near him.

Shock Boy and his girl will be coming for me soon. I have a feeling the kid who controls ice is off their hook for now...
 
Drake was having trouble concentrating. He had never had that problem often. Her smile was a bit distracted, but what was worse was she kept looking at him. It made him uncomfortable. He didn't need to wonder much why she was sad. He was a killer, someone sent to capture or kill them, and she was going to be killed by him by the time he was done with the others. But then again, she kept staring at him, and smiling. Why?

"Why are you staring at me?" He got a little red again, and looked at some of the surrounding scenery instead.

(OOC It's kinda up to her, she has the hearing to hear you before you come, though...

Aura shook her head. "No good reason really. Just cause I wanna. Why? Am I bothering you?" Aura asked, smiling again.

She heard something, but she wasn't quite sure what is was, so she just shrugged it off as unimportant.
 
Eric used his psychic powers to move to the roofs of the houses next door.

They can't destroy my "base of operations". I have to move somewhere else....This place looks fine he said to himself as he landed on another roof, using his powers to make little or no noise. There. He was atop a small grocery store.

This place has a better view than my house...Good...

Drake looked at her. It did bother him a little bit that she took too much notice at him. He was usually content not letting anyone look at him, and developed a habit of scaring people off that tried. But she just kept staring and smiling.

"No..well..umm.." He turned away from her again. He didn't want to speak if he didn't have formulated answers down. He decided to stop talking, so he wouldn't say anything else stupid.
 
Aura giggled and put her hands on her hips. "Not flustered are you?" she asked, still giggling. She was beginning to cheer up. Like maybe things wouldn't be so bad, at least not right now anyway. She didn't want to think about what was going to happen tomorrow, or what was gonna happen once all the Experiments were out of the way.

"You know Drake, I think traveling with you might be quite enjoyable." she said, then opened her ears again, listening for Eric. Instead of hearing Eric, she heard something she didn't expect to hear, Luphen.

She jumped when he landed in front of them. She hadn't expected that.
 
Come on....I'm getting tired of waiting... Eric said to himself. He was beginning to get anxious.

No...I have to calm down. Oh, anxiety, you are such a pain in my back. Always trying to make me screw up, eh? Well, that's not gonna happen. Nu-huh.

He kept on staring at the city trying to see anyone. He spotted two people. He grinned and chuckled. I've found you. Now it's time for you to find me, hehehe.
 
He was surpised to hear her say that their travelling might be enjoyable, but not nearly as surpised as when Luphen came. He wasn't expecting him to arrive, but if he attacked him, he wouldn't hold back.

"You're the Ice Experiment", he said, refusing to say his name. He looked at him coldy, "What do you want, a fight?"
 
Eric saw another guy coming over to them. Perfect. Two on two. I'll try to get closer...but I have to stay low-key. That Aura girl could hear me.

He floated over to a tall building, and stood on the rooftop and hid behind a sign.

This spot is even better than the last one...I can't wait to see how things turn out now. Too bad I didn't bring popcorn...
 
Luphen looked at him and said,"No, not yet. Killing you and her will ruin my fun for now and plus," He turned to Aura before continuing," I wanna deep freeze you two until it feels like you are burning alive! But I do have a proposal, if you tell me where Corps new base is, I promise to make your deaths quick." He smiled.
 
Jack followed as Jeremy and Caresse lead the way to the motel they mentioned earlier. Jack was tired but knew that he would ditch them as he got to motel and go to one of the hidden corp basses in town. Jack started pondering why he was silent about Drakes actions but decided that it was too late for that.

(OOC: I dont know about you guys but regular school has started back for me so you know hat that means)

Aura clenched her fists at her side. "Leave us alone Luphen. We aren't bothering you!" she wasn't sure why she suddenly had the urge to scream at him, but she did. She crossed her arms and just stood there, despite how uncomfortable she was.

"You're not doing yourself any good." she said, this time softer, hiding her eyes once again behind her hat.
 
Drake looked at him with harsh eyes. If there was anyone he wanted to kill the most, well besides the fire Material, it was probably him. He had a deal with Aura, thought, to not kill him, until there were no more Experiments to kill. He looked at Aura. He was lost for words. He looked back at Luphen, "You really are clueless, aren't you?"

"You should do yourself a favor and listen to your friend. You're not helping yourself at all. If you don't back off right now, I won't hold back."
 
Luphen looked at her and just stared for a moment before replying."I'm not talking to you, traitor! You don't even understand what I went though because of cowards like you! My grandparents because of The Corp and people like them and Drake knows where they are and thats why I came! You, Aura, I just hope who ever gets to you makes you suffer for the people your going to hurt. We could've protected you, but you was to scared to trust us and just sold us out to the enemy!"

He looked at Drake and said,"Bring it on, Pikachu."
 
Eric was watching from a building nearby. He couldn't hear well, but he grinned as he knew a fight was coming.

Ooh, I'd just love to see those guys fight. I really should have brought popcorn...hehehe...But I borught this big pipe...Which will be useful...

He stared at them while smiling evilly. He looked like he was planning to do something.
