    Story

    Long ago, or so it is to be believed, the four races, Angels, Demons, Elves and Beasts, lived together in harmony in one land they called Harmonica, the name closely representing the word harmony as each race got along together in the vast lands. Right in the centre of the land was a huge city, the biggest one of all, covered in gold and vast architecture that signified unique aspects of each race. In the centre of the city was a glorious palace, the jewel of the city, and within the walls was a very wise King, who was of such a unique appearance one could never define which race he belonged to, thus each race felt equal in the sense that if the King was not of a common race, one would not have power to advance their own race selfishly. This time of bliss didn't last too long, for one dark night on a full moon, the demons, without consent from their council chief, decided they had had enough; they wanted control over the land, and with secret planning and the element of surprise a quick war broke out, however even though the demons were defeated that night, the King fell, a sword of a dark variety stuck in his chest, absorbing his life energy with every second. The city fell silent as they watched as the King slowly died; even the best healers could not withdraw this dark sword or heal the King's wounds. All they could do was watch.

    The King died later that night. The council frantically searched for a solution. There was no heir to the throne of the King's species, him being the last of his kind to have ever existed. The council consisted of one member of each race talking over who should take control over the land. The Demon councillor was disappointed in his people being so selfish, and came up with a solution that would help everyone, including his own. "Split the land into four," he said, "let the city stand alone as a monument of what he have no more, history shall write itself as the day of the black sky." The other councillors easily agreed to this plan. Ergor of the elves got to work quickly, using his magic he was able to separate the land with a barrier of trees; four equal segments were easily visible from the air, dense forests surrounded the land. "We need something more to separate the Demons from the rest of the world," said Junloff, the councillor for the beasts, and with a mighty roar he and his people summoned a monumental mountain of a crater like appearance to shield the Demons from the world. Grem didn't argue, his people had failed in his eyes, and they deserved this. The final councillor Angie, the only female on the council, whipped out her staff and the people who mixed in this world were all separated, teleported away by a powerful magic. The four looked over the world, please with what they had accomplished, and finally, the returned to the city to deal with their last problem.

    The sword that had slain the greatest King, named The Sword Of Black Skies, where did it go now? Even before piercing the King the sword had massive power, but after it had absorbed the power of the King it could access all four types of magic used by each race. The four concealed the sword in the highest tower of the palace, named the great Mo, for its architect was named as such. Using a powerful magic, Grem summoned a dark seal, preventing any demons from accessing the tower ever again, however he was soon surprisingly joined by the other 3, who used their magic to block anyone from entering or exiting the tower, including themselves. They understood this was what was required of them, and in their remaining time, erased all knowledge of the spell they had just used, for anyone with such a spell could be overly powerful, and cast a lock spell on the sword as well, placing it in a diamond cage, unbreakable by even the strongest of people. They prayed it would be enough, but they had such gut instincts that someone may try to collect the sword in the future. Once again using magic, they turned themselves to stone, preserving their lives so that if anyone were to enter they would awaken.

    This tale has been passed down for so many years, nobody is certain whether the story is true or not, but Grem, Junloff, Angie and Ergor definitely did exist at one point according to the books found around the city.

    Now: Now the world is at peace. Several thousands of years have passed since then, yet not much has changed. The world still has very old technology, there was never much advancement, and people got used to living that way. There are several contraptions that are around, such as gears and pistons, and people understand basic weaponry, but most of the world is controlled by magic which often works as an energy source. Magic can do so many things, yet mysteriously every faction has it's own set of magic skills they can use. Each faction has a leader, each leader governs the land their faction has been given. In this time of peace, very little is known about the central city, as nobody ventures into it thanks to the random mix of energy flowing underground, causing havoc whenever someone may enter it. Very few people have dared to venture in, and 1 out of 4 people die. The majority of those who have entered are of the Elven species, such brave warriors, and have come out mainly with knowledgeable books and artefacts which are all stored in the great Library of Ergor at the heart of the Elven domain. Information from these books are constantly being studied yet never is it revealed to the general public never mind the other factions. Despite this reluctance towards sharing their knowledge, the Elves are often allianced with the Angels during times of debate. War has never broke so far. The Beasts are very quiet in their ways of life, and prefer not to get into political affairs and to avoid war. They have shaped the land so thoroughly that they tend to live in the mountains they form themselves. Their land is very divided and rough and unorganised, yet they are generally hearty people and very sociable. Very little is known about the Beasts in that respect. The Angels and Elves live very similar lives, both formed by the council living in huge cities together, easy to control by higher authorities. They're architecture is unique to one another yet they are so very simila
    r to each other on political terms. The Demons have never been able to ever pass the mountains area despite their best attempts, the land is too rough and the higher they go, the more dangerous it gets. The wall is secretly being held by a mechanism below the Beast Kingdom which keeps the earth from shattering with any and all force presented by the Demons. Contact has been lost with them, and nobody has ever seen a demon in such a long time. There way of life is not extremely different to that of the Angels and Elves, but is run more by the army than policy. They live in huge citadels that climb high up, and actually surprisingly only has 3 of these. No other villages or towns have ever been made, and the land is vast and spacious and used only for hunting.

    What next?: The Demons have always had there eyes on power, even after Grem personally showed his shame in his people. They want to get that sword somehow, and the only way to do that would be to gather information on the seal that blocks entrance to the chambers of The Sword Of Black Skies. Only with that oh so powerful sword could one imagine to destroy each faction's government, thus making the one who used that sword to become the ruler of this world. You have control over what your land looks like base upon my brief descriptions in each race biography, and you have control of your land or partial control, thus allowing a lot more flexibility in what you may want to write about.

    Who Are You?


    You are a member of high authority or the leader of one of the 4 factions. You get say in what happens in this sudden movement by the Demons, despite your lack of knowledge on the subject. You will play your role fairly, yet you can make your own decisions over what you do, whether you alliance yourselves or play solo to defend the sword and keep the world as it is, or try to take the sword yourself. I (DemonicWolf) shall be playing the role as the leader of the Demons, due to it's role of high importance in this RP, but if you want to be leader of a faction please mention so in your SU. The RP will not just be about war, for you all decide what happens to your faction next. This is what is meant by a Player Governed RP.

    Character Selection

    An angel is a light hearted species that vary in two way. One half specialise in magic and have the ability to fly with angelic wings, whilst the other half, often known as Paladins, have excellent physical strength and a capability to defend both physical attacks and magic with it's shield. The leader has both powers, being able to fly as he pleases and attack both with physical and magical attacks. In a sense he is a spell-sword. The Angel are referred to as the most divine and powerful race of them all, their colour of choice being white, and their magic type being wind and light.

    Demons are brute, powerful and almighty, feared by many. They are an army governed species led to believe what high authority wishes for them to believe, and in result their army is always in favour of everything they do. Few special demons can fly, some preserve human-like qualities and have demonic features, thus the variation demands special care when dealt with in groups, as they can all attack in different ways. A few demons specialize in Illusion magic, and can easily disguise themselves as another race, despite not being able to cross the mountain. Their national colour is red and they use fire and illusion magic.

    Elves are brave and confident, filled with pride, and run similarly to the Angels. Also similarly to the angels are their way of fighting, one half using magic and one half using melee attacks. Their melee style however is far more agile and swift than the hardy Angels. Instead of defence, they could be taken out in one fell swoop of a blade, but use their agility to avoid attacks. They aren't the strongest of people, but they're bravery has put them in a position of power as the books and artefacts they have collected has made them a highly knowledgeable race. Their regional colour is green and they use the power of nature and water to use the landscape to their advantage.

    These are the most peculiar of species, each one unique in appearance due to them being a mix of human and animal, the leader being able to switch between two animal combinations. They manage the earth with a secret underground organisation only known within the faction by rumours, the very organisation maintaining a special mechanism using magic to keep the mountain surrounding the Demonic faction wall as tough as steel. They fight using either their animal half, or using with their earth or alteration magic (distorting certain aspects of the world, only found among a few of the Beasts.) Their faction colour is brown.

    I'm unure about either being an angel or beast but with beasts is a yokai conidered to be a demon or a beast?

    Yeah if you wish. Unless somebody else also requests it you may as well be it. I also would prefer it if the rpers who wish to be leader of a faction have a talk with me concerning who is /best/ for a leader position, and don't argue over it. >.< If you see a better SU than yours that fits a leader better, please try to understand I'm only saying this because the flow depends on a good character. (Without inspiration no posts from leaders, without posts from leaders, no war effort, without no war effort, everything stops and the rp dies.) >.<

    Name: Valor Tyrell
    Age: 300 (Elves tend to be kinda immortal, so yeah.)
    Faction: Elves
    Spell type: Water

    Fighting style: Valor fights in a style that he calls "Water Dancing." It can be described by its name. It's fluidity is unmatched. He can dart in and strike up to five times in the blink of an eye. Valor's dual swords (One sheathed on each hip, one not in the picture.) are deadly in this sense. Despite his great speed, he cannot take a hit, and therefore tries to be as agile as possible, leaning towards light armor. He utilizes any sort of honorable advantage he can, such as the environment or a feint, but he will not resort to trickery. He's a good shot with a bow, but he always forgets to bring one.

    Personality: Valor is your stereotypical elf. He's brave to the point where it can be called stupid, he loves music and poetry, and is as light-hearted as anyone else. He loves to joke around and have fun, but all the while he's as old fashioned as an older elf. He'll laugh like, "Aha! HaHA!" much like he enjoys combat. Which he does. Although he is quite proud, he has a sense of humility. Normally he'll leave it to other people to pick out the flaws, though.

    There's only one way to put it: Valor is reckless beyond all belief. He always wants to be the first person to go into a dark, mysterious dungeon, the first person to attack a behemoth of a monster, or the first person to run in straight line in a mirror maze. He takes almost no time to think about things, and is more of a "Gut feeling" kind of guy. His instincts are always right in his mind, and he isn't dead yet, so he must be doing something right.

    Throughout all of this, he is a bit of a romantic. He's always conjuring up images of him serenading a beautiful woman. He is enthralled with the "What-Ifs" and will act them out in his head, seeing how each situation would go. His thought process is very complicated due to this.

    Valor's current goal is to discover all the rare artifacts he can, with or without the help of his comrades. He's willing to go it alone, but he always appreciates a bit of help here and there.

    This particular elf has a hatred for Demons, and doesn't trust the Beasts completely. He believes they're just waiting to yank the earth out from under the Elves' and Angels' feet.

    Background: There isn't much to Valor's background. He was raised listening to stories of the ancients, and he loved them all. Above them, however, he loved the story of the Fall of the King. He sparred with his older brother, Beandeel, everyday, using almost every stick that he could find in the forests. They went through every stick in the forest that was lying around. His brother went with a strangely brutish type of combat, causing Valor to have to learn how to dodge these attacks with ease in order to avoid being hit. After a while, he joined the Elves' form of military, and became a member of one of the raiding parties that constantly went to the capital. This went on for a couple hundred years.

    On one fateful trip, he and his party were caught in one particularly dangerous trap. None of them made it out with the exception of Valor and his brother. They managed to get all of their friends' bodies out, and brought them all back to the capital of the Elves' territory. The Elven council saw particular interest in Valor, and gave him command of his very own party. He has been leading that party for a hundred years now, and is considered one of the finest warriors in the whole territory.

    Name: Apollo Impera

    Faction: Angels

    Spell type: Light

    Fighting style: Apollo's fighting style is very ferocious. He wields his sword in two-hands but can wield it in one, when he attacks he likes to get very close and make the enemy step back. The key to his fighting style is overpowering the enemy by hitting hard against their blocks and then when he see's a break he strikes. When against multiple foes Apollo will use powerful light magic to defeat hordes of enemies in one go.
