Finished, at last. I hope it's not too long. XP
Name: Inibayi "Ina" Geriro
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Appearance: Ina stands at five feet and nine inches, with a medium build and a straight yet relaxed posture. She has short, black, straight hair that reaches the back of her neck. The hair curves under her ears and is a bit glossy. It's usually neat but not extravagant, only combing it a few times a day in one session when she gets the time. Her irises are a calming sky blue, contrasting a bit with her tan skin. Her face is what can be described, in short, as the typical "animé" face of a girl. Her breasts and hips are proportioned to her build. She has a bit of muscled tone to her build from practicing swordplay and travelling, but not quite as fit as say a master swordsman.
She wears a plain white, averaged sleeved, silk shirt and brown leather pants for protection. For footwear she has simple leather shoes; no strings or straps, just a hole to get her foot in or out. Over her hands are black leather gloves, also for protection. Over her clothes she wears light weight armor all over her body except for her head, hands and feet. Her torso armor looks like a bullet proof best, except made of bronze and under that is snake skin. Her torso armor in two parts, allowing her to bend over when needed. Her arms are armored with arm guards on her upper arm and lower arm, both looking like custom fitted cylinders made of bronze and snake skin padding, the same goes for her leg armor.
Her armor is colored dark grey, but the hue's so dark that it looks like black. Her armor is colored yellow around the rims of the joints, in other words, the edge of the armor where you bend (like your elbow). On her neck is a simple wooden whistle she made to call upon Garunaté. On her hips is a belt, on her left holstering a rapier while on the right is a pouch holding inside some dried fruits, flint stones, and a small leather bag of water. Over her armor she wears a brown cloak with a hood so as to not seem very intimidating with her armor. It also works as an umbrella in case Garunaté can't cover her.
Personality: Upon first seeing her, the thing you'll notice first is that she always seems to be smiling, even a small one, as well as the kindness in her eyes, despite how intimidating she and Garunaté look. Her tamed cheeriness (as in, she's happy but doesn't jump around a lot) tends to be infectious, quickly making people smile or, if not, at least not an upset feeling. She's friendly around people, even those that are brutish and have an aura of roughness, but she's actually pretty shy, not really approaching people to make friends but loves to make friends when someone does talk to her.
She's sympathetic and caring, willing to listen to your problems and will try to help solve them with you. But if you insist that you don't need her help or don't want to talk about it she'll drop the subject, partly due to her past experience and knowing that people need their time alone. She has a sense of humor too, but isn't really the source of jokes in conversations or meetings. She's stoic when need be, especially when dealing with tricky clients.
But despite her kindness, she's rather merciless when in a fight or hunting someone down. She's so merciless that she's even somewhat sadistic, taunting enemies with a malevolent smile. She's a bit of trickster as well, however, she doesn't do it so often anymore because of what she's learned, but it's mostly because she knows her tricks aren't that good. She can oblivious to some problems too, especially if you answer her questions of concern with sarcasm. Speaking of her sadism, she can be that way under normal conditions too if you manage to tick her off or hurt Garunaté.
Another thing to note is that she usually behaves from her first impressions of people, like she did with her foster parents, but, like with the case of her parents, she can change her mind, but it's rather difficult and varies. She has quite a temper when she's angry also, often going berserk in the form of shouting and, occasionally, fistfights. Even with these traits in mind, she's protective of Garunaté, asking if he's fine and getting into fistfights if she finds someone has hurt him, since she's rather close with him.
Because of her shyness, and lack of big-headed-ness, when she's separated from Garunaté she gets more nervous than usual. But she doesn't outwardly show it when there are others around, and her nervousness has lessened when she found out she could still sense Garunaté. Speaking of others, when she's in a group, she tends to not pry for the position of leader, however, she won't mind too much if she's chosen as the leader. She will listen to orders and is rather loyal to any group she's in. Unless of course the leader decides to do something stupid, then she'll protest.
And finally, she values her friends and family greatly, but Garunaté even more, seeing as he's the reason she's alive.
History: She didn't know it before on how she came to be their daughter, but she was raised in the village Arban to two blonds, Aria and Arvel, who were retired mercenaries who worked as innkeepers. Her life was fine at first, but when she finally realized that she didn't look like her parents at all--they were pale skinned blonds while she wasn't--she grew to dislike them because:
"Dad, where did I come from?" she asked with her squeaky six year old voice.
Arvel chuckled. "What do you mean by that, Ina?"
"I mean, who are my real parents? We don't look like each other, and we don't sound like each too."
Arvel frowned. "Dear, just because we don't look alike doesn't mean we're not your parents."
Although you'd probably be fine with the answer, Ina wasn't. She felt they were hiding something from her, something important, and so she didn't regard them as her parents. That led her into trouble though. Since she didn't listen to them, she caused and went in on all sorts of trouble, from stealing from customers to tricking people she was crippled, all unsuccessful, fortunately for us. Her parents were very upset with her for her countless acts (really, she did them often) and the fines she makes, until she was 11 years old.
She was doing another heist again, this time being successful...in stealing a bag of gold. But the guards of the owner (he was rather rich) were chasing after her, just on her tail. She kept on running but bumped into another person, apparently one of the guards took a shortcut to cut her off of her escape path. The guards would've taken the bag peacefully if Ina didn't keep the bag just out of their reach. Seeing as they won't get it without a fight, they engaged. Sure, it was mean, but so was Ina stealing.
Surprising (or maybe not), she dodged many of the hits and the guards ended up hitting each other, becoming dazed. Ina took this opportunity to run away. For a while, she thought she was home free since she was out of there sight. Then, something made her trip. Of course, she screamed as she fell, but then she quickly got up and found that a few feet in front of her was a Dragonne, and it had the sack.
For a moment, both stared at each other. Then they quickly scrambled, the Dragonne trying to get away while Ina was trying to get the bag. Ina was quick on her feet and grabbed the bag, making the dragon stop and increase his hold on the sack. But when she was pulling on it, something happened, not only did she feel angry and desperate in taking the bag, she felt something else, almost as if someone was saying, "This is not right!" This made her stop pulling on the sack with a befuddled face. She looked to the dragon's face and found that it too looked confused. Now that she looked at the creature, it looked familiar, like she's seen it before. By some gut instinct she asked, "Are...are you stopping me...for...my own good?"
The dragon grunted and looked even more surprised before it nodded. A fleeting memory seeps into her head before she puts her hand on the beast. It made a sound simillar to a pur of a cat and not only that, its scales were not sharp at all. It was then and there that both realized that they could understand each other in a way. As Garunaté "said" she returned the gold after figuring out the Dragonne's name. Since then, she amended her ways and have grown to love her foster parents, after finding that Garunaté was the reason she was in their care (after some decoding, of course).
For three years, she worked in the inn and became known among her parent's friends affectionately as the "Fire Tamer." She learned how to cook some kinds of foods, a few magic spells, a few moves in swordsplay, found her relatives with the help of Garunaté and how to take of Garunaté and herself. But a month after her fourteenth birthday, he father fell ill and the cure was rather expensive. Seeing as she had Garunaté with her, she set out as a mercenary to get the money needed. After putting on armor from her real aunt that belonged to her mother, she left. She traveled far and wide in the next three and three fourths of the years, from Honim to Anver, Renok to Lyeydra, even Skelsaugh, even though Garugaté didn't like it too much.
In that time, she gathered enough money to buy the cure. In Issathon, she bought the cure and had it sent to her parents since she had to re-supply. But as she was doing that, she was given a letter to come to Issathon's inner area. After some debate with Garunaté, she decided to attend just in case it's very important, but not without sending a letter to her parents.
Spells known:
-Fireball Conjure - By saying a simple chant, or the keyword "zeriano", and flick her fingers, a baseball-sized fire ball will appear at the tips of her fingers. She can fling the fireball at a maximum of two meters, with her average being ten feet. The fireball does moderate damage and rarely does a one hit KO, which is why she uses it to distract opponents before hitting them with her rapier.
-Flamethrower - By saying a chant that lasts for about ten to fifteen seconds, Ina release four feet long flamethowers from her palms. She can put her hands side-by-side to form one large flamethrower of the same length. Even though it's more powerful, causing partial thickness second degree burns, but is more taxing for her, allowing her only one or two uses in an average fight, and is typically too slow in emergencies.
-Holy Light - A holy light glowing from her hand, looking like orbs surrounding her hands after saying a chant that lasts about thirty seconds. The light can be used to heal second degree burns, shallow cuts, and generally injuries that aren't too serious but take a while to heal.
-Light Arc - A bolt of non-lethal lightning that can be summoned by saying "denki" and pointing her fingers in the direction she wants. The damage it causes is moderate and does what lightning that doesn't kill you (i.e. burns, temporary paralysis, etc.).
Other:
Dragon Bond
Dragon Species: Dragonne
Name: Garunaté (ga-roo-NA-tay)
Gender: Male
Age: 59
Appearance: Garunaté has the typical appearance of a Dragonne: fur-like scales, mane-like scales around the neck, ears and wings with a face that is a fusion of a lion and a dragon, but obviously looking more like a dragon. Even though his scales are very sharp, that's only when he's angry or frightened, making it stand up and prickly. When he's relaxed, the sharpness is lessened from the fact that the scales are closer to each other and the microscopic parts of the scales, kind of like the "spikes" of shark skin, are relaxed as well, the real cause of the sharpness.
On his back, above his shoulders, is a saddle that is made of leather. On each of the sides of the saddle is one moderate sized bag, inside it being supplies like water containers, dried meat, fruits, and a couple of other things like a bone, mostly as Garunaté's chew toy. His scales are the usual colors for his kind: yellow brown for his body, wings, legs and head, while dark brown for his mane. However, his irises are a vibrant emerald. Around the base of his head is a dark brown bronze collar with foldable handles that look like bicycle handles, so that Ina can support herself when they fly.
Personality: Garunaté has many of the basic traits of a Dragonne: territorial, agressive and sociable. However, how he acts upon them is a little different, at least for the former two. He is territorial, yes, but ever since he started travelling, that territorial nature became a protective one. He is agressive but only when those he values are in danger. Speaking of things he values, that is one trait that is not usually seen: forgiveness and kindness. He forgave people even after they nearly killed him, and he forgave Ina even after nearly stealing many things, and he forgave her again after nearly freezing to death in Skelsaugh.
His kindness shows in how gentle he handles many things, from his time in his pride disciplining his brothers, to playing with children, to annoying Ina, his methods rarely ever injure anyone. He is stern however, even during his kind times. He is stubborn too, as how he didn't give up on staying in Honim instead of Skelsaugh. But he is less stubborn when it's Ina. As much as he doesn't like admitting it, he likes it when Ina rubs his belly or scratches behind his ears or under his chin. Although he knows it's not exactly "a good idea", he actually has fallen in love with Ina, but accepts that it is very unlikely they'll be more than friends.

Garunaté the Dragonne
Issathon Market, Outer Area of Issathon
It was a calming day today. Boring, yes, but fine. I was just waiting for Ina, near a market stall. The stall looked rather precarious, seeing as there were only about four poles holding up a canvas roof. But its tables were fine. Stable, large, and smells very nice. I look to Ina. Ha... The one I saved, the one who saved me, and the one who changed my life. I close my eyes and breathe out. So much has changed since that day, and it feels so long ago, and yet I can still remember it.
I was defending myself from two humans trying to take my pride's catch. I thought they must have been very desperate to have food as humans very rarely go near us, let alone atrack us, but I still fought. The two humans were very strong as they managed to kill three of my pridemembers. I felt no hatred for them for their deeds, knowing well it's "survival of the fittest", as humans put it. After a long winded fight, I killed both of the humans. When I was about to eat the corpses, I heard a sound. I turn to my left, and there I saw a human youngling was beside me.
At first I was confused and I thought it was a nice snack but as I was moving my head near it for a sniff, it put its hands on my snout. I backed my head and grunted in surprise, the moment it touched me I thought I felt someone else's feelings, a feeling of happiness and security. I was sure it wasn't me, I was just hungry. Then I put my head close to it again and it did the same thing. I couldn't help but smile and be amused that it seemed excited seeing me when most younglings just run away or fight me in terror. But this little wanted to be with me, it seemed, seeing as it wanted to climb my head.
But then I frowned, remembering this was a youngling, and human younglings aren't quite as strong as dragon younglings. By the time the little one was on my head, I took a bite from one of the humans I killed and made a decision: take the young one to someone who could raise it. I knew my meal will probably be stolen so I buried it before heading off. I didn't bother going to the Village of Black to the east since the place I had in mind was the Nest Village to the south west, where I saw humans rested before heading into my home.
I found suitable parents that were near some undergrowth and, when it was dark, I placed the little one in front of the building, tapped on it twice with my tail and left. I watched in the distance since then, looking over the little one, seeing as my father was killed and so my brothers would try taking over, which I don't want to be involved in.
Ha... The years went by quickly, and before I knew it, the little one changed into a fine young girl, even though she was just eleven years old. Heh, I remember how I felt when I saw Ina break free from a group of males holding something. I knew she was up to no good and I didn't want her dead, so I took the bag. However, she was quicker than I thought and she grabbed the sack just as I took it. Then I felt it again, another emotion besides the one I had, I felt anger and desperation. I was startled at the mix of opposite feelings: mine and something else. I couldn't put the puzzle together until I heard her ask, "Are...are you stopping me...for...my own good?"
I grunted, surprised that she read my mind. But I remembered some basic responses for humans and so I nodded. The next thing I knew was that she was rubbing the side of my head. I couldn't help but rub into the touch and purr, it so warm and comfy.
r
"You...look familiar... Did...you leave me with my foster parents...?"
I looked to her. Her eyes seemed to be begging me for an answer. Although I wasn't conscious of it, I was surprised that she put together the pieces so fast. I nodded again and continued to purr into her touch.
I felt a a sad realization feeling coming from her, but I couldn't react to it before she asked, "Do you have a name?"
Actually, I did. It wasn't easy differentiating each other when we were young, when we have yet to learn what each scent meant. But I had no idea if she could even understand me. I tried anyways and made several grunts, sounding like "gar" "rah" rnah" "trah". I was doubting she got my name because she took a while to answer, but she got my name: Garunaté. I couldn't help but softly roar in surprised happiness. She giggled at my response but I didn't mind, my happiness was doubled, and then I realized that we could actually feel each other's feelings.
Ha...many things happened since then, from her parents screaming in alarm to my presence, to Ina saving me from the bite of a Drake, to me helping her find her biological relatives. She's grown to a lovely lady, even though I know that she's yet to be a fully grown human. My life has been so much better since that day six years ago. Everything has been easier, and more joyful. I open my eyes after the reminiscing to the sound of footprints nearing me. As I guessed, it was Ina finished getting supplies. She put them in the bags in my saddle before asking, "Shall we go?" with a smile.
I smiled as well before answering with grunts, "Why not?"
